Abstract:
A method and apparatus of growing a thin film are provided. The method comprises at least (a) providing a number of substrates; (b) cleaning the substrates; and (c) placing the substrates into a reaction liquid; (d) vibrating the reaction liquid by ultrasonic waves such that a thin film is grown on the substrates evenly.
Abstract:
A system for coating fruit with a substance utilizing a vat that stores a coating substance which can be applied via a dipping process. A dipping cover having a rim is provided for engaging an upper rim of the vat. A dipping tray carries a plurality of fruit items and includes a plurality of receptacles for carrying the fruit items. The dipping tray has a profile smaller than the interior of the vat allowing the dipping tray to be lowered so that the coating substance contained within the interior of the vat may engage the fruit. The dipping cover is configured for supporting the dipping tray in an elevated position once the fruit has been coated allowing excess coating to be vibrated off the dipped fruit.
Abstract:
A method of forming a water vapor barrier layer to a core of a golf ball is provided. The method includes placing the core of the golf ball into a vapor barrier composition, withdrawing the lifting device, and spinning and optionally oscillating the core within the composition for a time sufficient for the composition to form a layer on the core. The present invention also provides an apparatus that can be used to form a water vapor barrier layer.

Abstract:
A device for coating a product includes a provider for providing a liquid containing reagents necessitated for coating. Additionally, the device comprises a transporter for contacting the surface of the product to be coated with the liquid and passing same by the liquid such that the surface to be coated remains in contact with the liquid for a predetermined period of time so as to effect coating thereof.
Abstract:
In a method for forming an adhesive layer on the surface of a workpiece before the formation of a coating film containing a powder on the workpiece, the present invention provides a method for forming the adhesive layer having a desired thickness. This object is achieved by the following method: An adhesive layer formation medium m1 coated with an adhesive material is made to collide with a workpiece W so that the adhesive material is transferred from the adhesive layer formation medium m1 to the workpiece W and forms an adhesive layer on the workpiece. An adhesive layer having a desired thickness can be formed on the workpiece by regulating the thickness of the adhesive material applied to the surface of the adhesive layer formation medium (i.e. the amount of the adhesive material held by a single adhesive layer formation medium). This enables the thickness of the powder coating as the final product to be controlled as desired.
Abstract:
A vibratory coating apparatus may be used to coat articles, such as chocolate pieces, with discrete coating materials. The coating apparatus features a feed bowl assembly with an attached ramp system. The feed bowl and ramp system are mounted upon a vibratory drive assembly which imparts a vibratory motion, at a predetermined frequency, to the bowl and ramp system. The vibratory motion causes agitation of the chocolate pieces and coatings, and causes the coated chocolates and loose coatings to migrate up the ramp system and out of the coating apparatus. The chocolate pieces are conveyed along a first inclined ramp from the bottom surface of the feed bowl to a location outside the bowl. A second inclined ramp receives loose coating material from a downstream location of the first ramp and redeposits the coating material both at an upstream location of the first ramp separate from the bowl and within the bowl.
Abstract:
An apparatus for depositing a mono or multimolecular layer film on a substrate has a trough (1) in which the liquid sub-phase (W) is received, the sub-phase carrying a monomolecular layer film of e.g. a diacetylenic fatty acid. The apparatus has a barrier system (4) consisting of a boom (40) which is pivotted on the center of a rigid spoked ring (42) and pivotable towards and away from the adjacent spoke to compress the molecular layer the desired amount. The vertical position of the ring is adjustable by bolts (24) to position the upper surface of the adjacent spoke (41) and lower surface of the boom (40) below but not through the liquid surface. This enables the monomolecular layer to be compressed without leakage of molecules and also allows contaminants to be collected by sweeping the boom across the surface before the layer is added.
Abstract:
Apparatus for processing wire, strip or the like passing through a medium which reacts with the wire has means for vibrating the wire longitudinally without striking the wire so as to provide more efficient reaction.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a method for permeating color into components includes the step of placing substrates inside a carrier. The method includes the step of placing the carrier inside an ultrasonic cleaning tank of an ultrasonic cleaning machine. The method includes the step of performing an ultrasonic cleaning in the ultrasonic cleaning tank. After the ultrasonic cleaning, the method transports the carrier with a robotic arm to a washing tank. The method includes the step of inserting, with the robotic arm, the carrier into the washing tank and neutralizing a substrate with water in the washing tank. The method includes the step of feeding warm water into a channel of the washing tank up to a specified level. The method includes the step of steaming the washing tank for a specified steaming time.
