    摘要: A structure formed from a new family of polyhedral models and rigid structures. The structure having discrete interior and exterior elements, and is formed from a plurality of rigid-stellate polygonal modules. Each rigid-stellate polygonal module has at least three polygonal structures coupled to a rigid stellate connector or axis by a base edge. The angle subtended between each of the at least three polygonal structures may be varied by changing the connector.

    摘要: An exercise device for improving poor visual acuity is disclosed in which a subject must identify randomly chosen figures of minimal visual stimulus projected in a darkened chamber. Earphones are provided to aid in the isolation of the subject and provide audio feedback. The device provides effective treatment for certain eye conditions involving poor acuity and is particularly effective in treating the eye condition known as amblyopia.

    摘要: A new type of robotic device is disclosed, using several cable trussed compression members in concert. The cable trussed compression members are deformed along the length of their central compression mast, by the lengthening and shortening in concert of all of the cables of each cable trussed compression member, through the use of motors. Weights traveling on tracks, or fluid filled hoses, are used in addition to the deformation of the cable trussed compression members, to change the location of the center of gravity of the entire assembly, thereby enhancing the balancing and stability of the robotic device. Additional known mechanical and electrical devices may be used in conjunction with the several cable trussed compression members.
