摘要: Rotation of an input shaft is directly transmitted to a front carrier of a planetary gear mechanism, and rotation, which is speed-changed and reversed by a toroidal-type continuously variable speed change unit, is transmitted to a first sun gear. When a Low clutch is applied, rotation of an output carrier of a simple planetary gear unit is transitted to a counter gear mechanism via a common carrier, and then output at an output shaft. When a High clutch H is applied, rotation of a second sun gear is transmitted to the output shaft. Thus, the pinion shaft is shortened and the service life span of a supporting bearing is increased as compared with a planetary gear mechanism that has a three-step pinion.

摘要: A fuel cell power generating apparatus using a fuel cell (10) having a structure such that a cathode and an anode are disposed on opposite sides of a polymer electrolyte membrane, comprising: an air introduction passage (11) for introducing air to the cathode; an air discharge passage (15) for discharging, to the outside of the system, discharge gas containing reactant water generated at the cathode; a circulation passage (16) connected between the air discharge passage and the air introduction passage in order to again introduce at least a portion of the discharge gas flowing through the air discharge passage to the air introduction passage and thus to the cathode; a valve (17) provided for at least one of the air introduction passage and the air discharge passage; a temperature sensor (22) for measuring the temperature of the discharge gas from the cathode; an ampere meter (19) for measuring the level of an electric current output from the fuel cell; and a control unit (18) for controlling the degree of opening of the valve in accordance with the temperature of the discharge gas and the output level of the electric current measured respectively by the temperature sensor and the ampere meter. A portion of the discharge gas containing reactant water is circulated into the air introduction passage and thus to the cathode of the fuel cell to thereby humidify the electrolyte membrane, so that there is no need to supply water from the outside of the system. The apparatus is particularly suitable to be mounted on a vehicle.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle which can run under a heavy load without requiring an electric motor large in size or an inverter element of large capacity. The hybrid vehicle includes an internal-combustion engine, an electric machine unit to which the rotation of the internal-combustion engine is input, an electric motor driven by electric current supplied thereto, a differential gear unit including at least three gear elements with a first gear element connected to the electric machine unit, a second gear element connected to an output shaft, and a third gear element connected to the internal-combustion engine, and a stopping device for stopping the rotation of the third gear element. Since the hybrid vehicle can be driven by the driving force of the electric machine unit, the driving force and torque constant of the electric motor can be reduced to that required of the electric machine unit so that the electric motor need not be large in size.

摘要: A clutch mechanism connecting and disconnecting an output shaft of an internal combustion engine and an input shaft of a transmission unit includes a first clutch assembly coupled to the input shaft of the transmission unit and a second clutch assembly coupled to an output shaft of the engine. A torque conduction member is provided between the first and second clutch assemblies for rotation relative to the two clutch assemblies. The torque conduction member has a first connecting surface for engaging the first clutch assembly and a second connecting surface for engaging the second clutch assembly. The contacting force at the first connecting surface is stronger than that at the second connecting surface, when a predetermined load is applied to the two connecting surfaces in succession.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to grasp the state in which hydrophilic groups of an electrolyte are distributed in a reaction layer for fuel cells. Nitric acid groups are bonded to hydrophilic groups (sulfonic acid groups) contained in a reaction layer for fuel cells, and metal ions capable of forming a nitrosyl complex with the nitric acid groups, e.g., ruthenium ions, are introduced into the reaction layer to dye the nitric acid groups bonded to the hydrophilic groups contained in the reaction layer. When the hydrophilic groups have agglomerated, the nitric acid groups bonded thereto also agglomerate. When said nitric acid groups are dyed with ruthenium, the ruthenium also agglomerates to make it possible to examine said nitric acid groups with an electron microscope.

摘要: During vehicle operation, drive wheels are constantly monitored to see whether or not slip of drive wheels occurs and when slip is detected, posture control for slip conditions is performed by uncoupling normal posture control for the drive wheels. A balancer (weight body) which is movable in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle is provided, and posture control is performed by moving the balancer backward when the vehicle inclines forward due to slip and moving the balancer forward when the vehicle inclines backward. The detection of slip is through a comparison between the drive wheels circumferential speed V2 and a vehicle running speed V1.

摘要: The disclosed vehicle has posture control of an inverted pendulum which provides good riding comfort.A balancer target position λ* (calculated value) is determined according to target acceleration α* indicated by an occupant. Driving thrust SB of a balancer 134 is determined by state feedback control so that a current balance position λ (measured value) becomes closer to the determined balancer target position λ*, and the balancer 134 is driven. An output τW of a driving wheel actuator 52 is determined from the current balancer position λ (measured value) resulting from driving of the balancer 134. Since a driving torque is determined from an actual position of the balancer 134, stable upright posture control can be implemented even in a transient state which lasts until the balancer 134 reaches the target position.
