摘要:
The present invention provides a NDV mutant that is suited as a marker vaccine strain. The NDV mutant is not able to express an immunodominant epitope of the nucleoprotein (NP).
摘要:
The present invention relates to nucleotide sequences encoding the nucleocapsid (NP) protein and phosphoprotein (P) of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) and the production of the corresponding proteins with recombinant plasmids bearing the nucleotide sequences in Escherichia coli.
摘要:
The present invention discloses lentogenic viral strains useful in the treatment of cancer. A preferred viral strain of Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) is specifically characterized in terms of biological activities. The present invention further discloses treatment of cancer by application of a clonal NDV strain to tumors. Another feature of the invention is the use of at least one isolated viral glycoprotein or a subunit or analog thereof or of an isolated polynucleotide encoding the same for the treatment of cancer.
摘要:
This invention relates to genetically engineered Newcastle disease viruses and viral vectors which express heterologous genes or mutated Newcastle disease viral genes or a combination of viral genes derived from different strains of Newcastle disease virus. The invention relates to the construction and use of recombinant negative strand NDV viral RNA templates which may be used with viral RNA-directed RNA polymerase to express heterologous gene products in appropriate host cells and/or to rescue the heterologous gene in virus particles. In a specific embodiment of the invention, the heterologous gene product is a peptide or protein derived from the genome of a human immunodeficiency virus. The RNA templates of the present invention may be prepared by transcription of appropriate DNA sequences using a DNA-directed RNA polymerase such as bacteriophage T7, T3 or the SP6 polymerase.
摘要:
What is described is a modified vector, such as a recombinant poxvirus, particularly recombinant vaccinia virus, having enhanced safety. The modified recombinant virus has nonessential virus-encoded genetic functions inactivated therein so that virus has attenuated virulence. In one embodiment, the genetic functions are inactivated by deleting an open reading frame encoding a virulence factor. In another embodiment, the genetic functions are inactivated by insertional inactivation of an open reading frame encoding a virulence factor. What is also described is a vaccine containing the modified recombinant virus having nonessential virus-encoded genetic functions inactivated therein so that the vaccine has an increased level of safety compared to known recombinant virus vaccines.

摘要:
The present invention provides the novel Newcastle disease virus strain C2 which is able to induce a solid immune response in poultry without adverse vaccination reactions.
摘要:
The present invention relates to a novel bacterial respiratory poultry disease and the identification of the causative agent Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale. A vaccine derived from this agent was effective in preventing the disease in chickens challenged with the virulent field strains.
摘要:
Novel live, cold-adapted temperature-sensitive (CaTs), attenuated Newcastle disease virus vaccines are provided which are effectively immunogenic and contain a mutant of a Hitchner B.sub.1 parent strain of Newcastle disease virus.
