摘要: An electronic device may include first and second antennas formed from respective first and second segments of a housing. The first antenna may have a first feed coupled to the first segment by a first switch and coupled to the first segment by a first conductive trace. The second antenna may have a second feed coupled to the second segment by a second switch and coupled to the second segment by a second conductive trace. The first segment may be separated from the second segment by a single gap, a data connector may pass through the second segment, and the antennas may selectively cover a low band. Alternatively, the first segment may be separated from the second segment by a third segment and two gaps, the data connector may pass through the third segment, and the first and second antennas may concurrently cover the low band.

摘要: An electronic device may include a display system with a pixel array and a catadioptric lens. The display system may include a linear polarizer through which image light from the pixel array passes and a first quarter wave plate through which the light passes after passing through the polarizer. The lens may include a partial mirror, a second quarter wave plate, and a reflective polarizer. A third quarter wave plate may be formed between the linear polarizer and the pixel array to mitigate ghost images. Control circuitry may predict potential ghost images based on the geometry of the lens and data from an image frame. Tone mapping circuitry may adjust contrast of the image frame within a region overlapping the predicted ghost image. The control circuitry may adjust luminance of the image frame outside of the region overlapping the predicted ghost image.

摘要: An image sensor may be implemented using a stitched image sensor die. The stitched image sensor die may be formed from a step and repeat exposure process using a set of tiles in a reticle set. Multiple instantiations of a same circuitry block on a given tile may be patterned and formed on the image sensor die. The image sensor die may include circuitry configured to enable testing of one or more instantiations of the same circuitry block. The image sensor die may include memory circuitry for storing indications of a functional instantiation of the multiple instances and may use the functional instantiation for normal operation.

摘要: An electronic device may include a display having an array of display pixels on a substrate. The display pixels may be organic light-emitting diode display pixels or display pixels in a liquid crystal display. In an organic light-emitting diode display, hybrid thin-film transistor structures may be formed that include semiconducting oxide thin-film transistors, silicon thin-film transistors, and capacitor structures. The capacitor structures may overlap the semiconducting oxide thin-film transistors. Organic light-emitting diode display pixels may have combinations of oxide and silicon transistors. In a liquid crystal display, display driver circuitry may include silicon thin-film transistor circuitry and display pixels may be based on oxide thin-film transistors. A single layer or two different layers of gate metal may be used in forming silicon transistor gates and oxide transistor gates. A silicon transistor may have a gate that overlaps a floating gate structure.

摘要: A head-mounted display may include a display system and an optical system in a housing. The display system may have displays that produce images. Positioners may be used to move the displays relative to the eye positions of a user's eyes. An adjustable optical system may include tunable lenses such as tunable cylindrical liquid crystal lenses. The displays may be viewed through the lenses when the user's eyes are at the eye positions. A sensor may be incorporated into the head-mounted display to measure refractive errors in the user's eyes. The sensor may include waveguides and volume holograms, and a camera for gathering light that has reflected from the retinas of the user's eyes. Viewing comfort may be enhanced by adjusting display positions relative to the eye positions and/or by adjusting lens settings based on the content being presented on the display and/or measured refractive errors.

摘要: An electronic device may include a transmission line path having a signal conductor embedded in a substrate. A contact pad may be patterned on a surface of the substrate. A radio-frequency component may be mounted to the contact pad using solder. Multi-layer impedance matching structures may couple the signal conductor to the contact pad. The matching structures may include a set of via pads and a set of conductive vias coupled in series between the signal conductor and the contact pad. The area of the via pads may vary across the set of via pads and/or the aspect ratio of the conductive vias may vary across the set of conductive vias. The matching structures may perform impedance matching between the signal conductor and the radio-frequency component at frequencies greater than 10 GHz while occupying a minimal amount of space in the device.

A display cover layer may overlap the display panel. The display panel may have an array of pixels configured to display an image viewable through the display cover layer. The display cover layer may be formed from a layer of glass. A recess may be formed in the layer of glass that runs parallel to the bend axis and that overlaps the bend axis. The recess forms a flexible locally thinned portion in the glass that allows the display cover layer to bend. A rough surface texture and polymer coating may be provided in the recess. The recess may have shallowly sloping walls.

摘要: To minimize the width of a non-light-emitting border region around an opening in the active area, data lines may be stacked in the border region. Data line portions may be formed using three metal layers in three different planes within the border region. A metal layer that forms a positive power signal distribution path in the active area may serve as a data line portion in the border region. A metal layer may be added in the border region to serve as a data line portion in the border region. Data line signals may also be provided to pixels on both sides of an opening in the active area using supplemental data line paths. A supplemental data line path may be routed through the active area of the display to electrically connect data line segments on opposing sides of an opening within the display.

摘要: The display may include a display module and a waveguide. The module may produce first light of first wavelengths during first time periods and may produce second light of second wavelengths during second time periods interleaved with the first time periods. Diffractive gratings or a dichroic wedge may redirect the first light into the waveguide at a first angle and may redirect the second light into the waveguide at a second angle separated from the first angle by a separation angle. The separation angle may be equal to half the angle subtended by the projection of a pixel in the module. The first and second time periods may alternate faster than the response of the human eye. This may configure the first and second image light to collectively provide images at an eye box with an increased effective resolution without increasing the space or power consumed by the display module.
