    摘要: A recording method and apparatus includes first and second recording media. A first portions of information to be recorded is stored on the second recording medium as leading information. Subsequent portions of information to be recorded are stored on the second recording medium as temporary information. The leading information is read out and stored on the first recording medium. The temporary information then follows. As the temporary information is transferred from the second to the first recording media, new information is read into the second recording medium. A playback method and apparatus includes reading out leading information stored on the second medium. Meanwhile, information is read out of the first recording medium and stored to the second recording medium as temporary information. As the temporary information is played back from the second recording medium, new information is read in from the first recording medium.

    摘要: An HC-adsorbent capable of adsorbing various kinds of hydrocarbon including lower and higher hydrocarbon, of which the adsorbable amount per unit volume is large, and which exhibits excellent durability at elevated temperatures. The HC-adsorbent is composed of a first zeolite of ZSM-5 of which the silica/alumina (SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3) mole-ratio is 500 or more, and a second zeolite of Y-type zeolite of which the silica/alumina (SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3) mole-ratio is 200 or more. The second zeolite mainly adsorbs higher hydrocarbon while the first zeolite mainly adsorbs lower hydrocarbon, thus enabling adsorption of many kinds of hydrocarbon.

    摘要: A thermal type air flow measuring instrument is mounted to a main passage forming an intake air passage of an internal combustion engine and is provided with an auxiliary passage which includes a heating resistor and a temperature sensing resistor therein and an electronic circuit which is electrically connected to the heating resistor and the temperature sensing resistor. The auxiliary passage is a passage including at least one bent portion composed of a first path substantially parallel to the main passage and a second path having a path different in flow direction from the first path. A member forming the auxiliary passage is fixed in a united form to only a case member for interiorly protecting the electronic circuit, and the case member is fixed to the outer wall surface of the intake air passage. The auxiliary passage structure capable of being handled as a single module united to the case member is effective to the mass production of an air flow control system and the reduction in cost thereof since the structure can be mounted to different kinds of internal combustion engines.

    摘要: An air flow rate measuring device for measuring intake air flow rate in an automotive engine, improved to reduce any error attributable to variation in the configurations of air cleaner and/or duct forming air passage upstream of the flow rate measuring device, thus offering high accuracy of the flow rate measurement. In one aspect of the invention, the inlet opening of a sub-air passage is disposed to contain the axis of a main air passage, while the outlet opening of the sub-air passage is disposed in the vicinity of a wall defining the main air passage. In order to cause a local reduction of the pressure of the principal of the air flow at the outlet opening, a protrusion or a flat surface which causes impediment to the flow if air in the main air passage is provided immediately upstream of the outlet opening. In another aspect, the inlet surface in which the inlet of the sub-air passage opens is stepped in the direction of flow of the air so as to enable air to be introduced into air flow rate measuring portion in the sub-air passage from different regions in the main air passage while giving a preselected order of preference to these different regions.
