摘要: A system having one or more processors and a memory, receives both speech data from first and second participants of a session. The system outputs the speech of the first participant. The system outputs the speech of the second participant in accordance with an adjustment of the speech of a participant of the session when the speech of the second participant temporally overlaps less than a first predetermined threshold amount of a terminal portion of the speech of the first participant. The system drops the speech of the second participant when the speech of the second participant temporally overlaps more than the first predetermined threshold amount of the terminal portion of the speech of the first participant. Optionally, the system adjusts the speech of a participant of the session by delaying output of the speech of the second participant.

摘要: A medical device includes a balloon member, a port that couples a compartment interior of the balloon member to a region exterior of the balloon member, and a tubular member that defines a lumen. A distal end of the tubular member is attached to an internal surface of the balloon member within the compartment so that a portion of the internal surface of the balloon member provides a seal at a distal end of the lumen. The tubular member passes through the port, and the proximal end of the tubular member is configured to remain exterior of the compartment. A delivery of a sufficient amount of a filling material into the lumen of the tubular member causes a length of the tubular member to pass through the port and into the balloon compartment.

摘要: A method is disclosed for preparing a soft tissue site, and augmenting the soft tissue site, such as the breast(s), scar, depression, or other defect, of a subject through use of devices that exert a distractive force on the breast(s) and grafting of autologous fat tissue such as domes with sealing rims for surrounding each of the soft tissue site and a regulated pump. The method for preparing the soft tissue site, and enhancing fat graft results, entails application of the distracting force to the targeted soft tissue site at least intermittently for some period of time and preferably several weeks prior to the graft procedure. A related aspect of the invention includes following the preparation steps by transfer of fat from other areas of the subject to the subject's soft tissue site, and then reapplication of the distractive force to the soft tissue site that received the autologous fat graft. Alternatively, fat from genetically related sources may be used, and the fat may be further processed prior to injection. Substantial soft tissue augmentation, high rates of graft survival and negligible graft necrosis (data demonstrating 80% survival and only 20% necrosis is presented) or calcification result from the practice of these methods.

摘要: Tissue expansion system includes a pump, a controller, and inflatable bladder, and a pressure sensor. The pump is adapted for substantially continuous operation in response to a pressure within a subcutaneously implanted inflatable bladder. The pump is thus able to deliver inflation medium to the bladder when the pressure within the bladder is below a predetermined lower threshold while stopping delivery of the fluid when the pressure rises above a higher threshold or reaches a predetermined maximum volume.

摘要: A tissue expander adapted for increasing overlying tissue surface area and size of an associated perforator vessel includes an inflatable bladder adapted to be temporarily implanted subcutaneously in a patient at a donor site. The bladder forms a recess for receiving therein a perforator vessel. Bladder volume is increased incrementally over time to increase overlying tissue surface area and size of the associated perforator vessel. The expanded tissue and/or the perforator vessel can be harvested for use as an island flap, a free flap, or a vascular graft.
