    摘要: The present invention is a tape measure in combination with a data transceiver, a headset, and a cell phone. The invention includes a data transceiver with a housing that can be mounted to a tape measure, where the housing features numerous selectors including at least one record button and one playback button. The present invention further involves the transceiver in communication with a first user cell phone for instructing recordation of verbal analog data received from a head set when a record button is depressed. The cell phone also includes an application for converting verbal information into digital data using voice recognition software, communicating and storing the digital data, and communicating analog data. The present invention alternatively allows for playback of the recorded data to the headset when a playback button is depressed. Another embodiment allows for communication between the cell phones of a first and a second user and an associated headset.

    摘要: A system that includes a bus, a battery, core processing circuitry, radio frequency (RF) processing circuitry, first power regulating circuitry, second power regulating circuitry, and control circuitry is provided. The bus can be coupled to receive power from a source external to the system. The core processing circuitry and RF processing circuitry can be selectively coupled to each other via a switch. The switch can be operative to turn ON and OFF based on a signal level received on the bus. The first power regulating circuitry can be electrically coupled to the bus, the core processing circuitry, and the switch. The second power regulating circuitry can be electrically coupled to the battery, the RF processing circuitry, and the switch. The control circuitry can be operative to selectively turn ON and OFF the first power regulating circuitry and the second power regulating circuitry based on a number of monitored conditions.

    摘要: The subject disclosure describes monitoring when a headset is in communication with a mobile communication device, detecting the headset, comparing a name of a caller and a telephone number of the caller against a list of names and telephone numbers previously stored in a memory, determining that the name of the caller or the telephone number of the caller matches one of the names and telephone numbers in the list, determining that the one of the names and telephone numbers is associated with a pre-recorded message that the user previously recorded and stored in the memory, retrieving the pre-recorded message, and performing a text-to-speech conversion on the name and telephone number of the caller to generate a synthesized speech signal spoken text message and sending the synthesized speech signal and the pre-recorded message to the headset. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要: An ear protection system may include an ear plug and a storage container. The ear plug may include an elastic component and an inelastic component. The ear plug may be heated, for instance, by filling the storage container with water, at least partially submerging the ear plug in the water filled container, and microwaving the container and the ear plug. The elastic component may then become compressible in order to form to the anatomy of the user's ear. A plurality of indentations may be provided on the elastic component to facilitate the compression. The ear plug may also accommodate electronic features, such as a speaker, as well as a lanyard for holding the ear plugs. The ear plug may be attached to, and used in conjunction with, an electronic device, which may be a communication system such as a wireless headset or speaker.
