摘要: In a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine having a tip portion which is separate from the injector body and in which a slit-like injection hole and a downstream portion of fuel reservoir communicated with the injection hole are formed, joining surfaces of the tip portion and the injector body being joined to each other, the fuel reservoir being positioned downstream of a seat portion of valve body, an upstream portion of the fuel reservoir being formed in the injector body, a first opening of the downstream portion of the fuel reservoir in the joining surface of the tip portion being chamfered, and the first opening being larger than a second opening of the upstream portion of the fuel reservoir in the joining surface of the injector body such that the first opening surrounds the second opening.

摘要: In a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine having a valve body, an injection hole and a fuel reservoir on the downstream side of a seat portion of the valve body, an opening on the outer side of the injection hole has a width generally larger than a height thereof, the width of the injection hole is gradually narrowed inward so that the fuel is injected at a predetermined angle in the direction of width, the height of the injection hole is nearly uniform in the direction of injecting the fuel within the predetermined angle in the direction of width, a through hole is formed at the center portion of the injection hole in the direction of width, and the through hole is communicated with said fuel reservoir and has a height larger than the height of the injection hole.

摘要: A fuel injection apparatus has a delivery pipe 7, an injector 8, fixing hooks 56 and fixing hook grooves 38. The delivery pipe 7 has an electric signal line and a connector 34, the connector 34 being placed at an end of the electric signal line. The injector 8 has an O-ring 52 and an injector side terminal 54 and is mounted to the delivery pipe 7, the O-ring 52 having a center P and sealing a gap between the delivery pipe 7 and the injector 8. The injector side terminal 54 is electrically connected with the connector 34. The fixing hooks 56 and the fixing hook grooves 38 prevent the injector side terminal 54 from sliding with respect to the connector 34 in the direction of an axis of the injector 8. The contacting points between the fixing hooks 56 and the fixing hook grooves 38 are positioned on a line L. The line L passes through the center P of the O-ring 52 and is perpendicular to the axis of the injector 8.

摘要: An engine, having an intake passage, a throttle valve arranged in the intake passage, and a fuel injector arranged in the intake passage for injecting fuel into the intake passage, comprises an air-flow control valve arranged in the intake passage between the fuel injector and the throttle valve. The air-flow control valve is controlled to close during the engine starting operation, and to open after the engine starting operation completes. The air-flow control valve has a valve element having an axis about which the element is rotatable when the valve is opened or closed. The rotational direction of the valve element is selected so that air flowing through the valve is guided by the valve toward the fuel injector when the air-flow control valve is controlled to an intermediate open position which is between the closed position and the full open position.

摘要: A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine includes a valve body which has a nozzle at one end. A stopper plate is located at the other end of the valve body and has a path for communicating between the upstream and the downstream sides of said stopper plate itself. A needle valve is slidably disposed in the valve body for opening and closing the nozzle. A lift stopper is fixed to the needle valve for limiting the stroke of the needle valve in association with the stopper plate and has at least one path for communicating between the upstream and downstream sides of the lift stopper itself. A first needle guide is fixed to the needle valve at the downstream side of the lift stopper and has at least one path for communicating the upstream and the downstream sides of the first needle guide itself. A second needle guide is fixed to the needle valve at the upstream side of the lift stopper and has at least one path for communicating the upstream and the downstream sides of the second needle guide itself. The second needle guide guides the needle valve so that the needle valve is correctly moved, along the center axis, in association with the first needle guide.

摘要: An exhaust gas purification device comprising a three way catalyst, an oxidizing catalyst and a NOx absorbent which are arranged in this order in the exhaust passage. A rich air-fuel mixture is burned in the combustion chamber, and secondary air is supplied upstream of the three way catalyst so as to make the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the three way catalyst a rich air-fuel ratio greater than the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture burned in the combustion chamber. Further, secondary air is supplied upstream of the oxidizing catalyst to make the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the oxidizing catalyst and the NOx absorbent slightly leaner than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio.

摘要: A fuel supply device comprising a plurality of air assist type fuel injectors each having a nozzle opening, an assist air passage connected to the nozzle opening, and a fuel valve for injecting fuel into the assist air passage. The assist air passages of all of the fuel injectors are connected to a common air manifold via corresponding assist air supply control valves. The air manifold is connected to a fuel pressure regulator for controlling the pressure of fuel fed into the fuel valves. This pressure of fuel is maintained at a pressure higher than the pressure of air in the air manifold, by a fixed pressure, by the fuel pressure regulator.

摘要: A fuel injection type carburetor for multi-cylinder internal combustion engines includes: a throttle body having a throttle bore extending substantially vertically and being connected at the bottom portion thereof to a collecting portion of an intake manifold extending substantially horizontally; a throttle valve arranged in the throttle bore, a linear injection type fuel injection valve having a fuel injection nozzle arranged in the throttle bore in an area downstream area of the throttle valve and inclined toward the downstream direction; and an atomization promoting device arranged at a position opposite to the fuel injection nozzle so as to face the nozzle. The atomization promoting device is, for instance, a high frequency oscillator or a so-called PTC heater.

摘要: An air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine which includes a carburetor in which the air-fuel ratio is set on the lean side rather than at a controlled air-fuel ratio. Fuel injection valves are provided for injecting additional fuel so that the air-fuel ratio is controlled to a correct value. A control circuit is provided for basically controlling the fuel injection rate in accordance with the RPM of the engine and the air intake pressure. The control circuit also corrects and controls the fuel injection rate in accordance with transient operating conditions of the engine.
