摘要: Inside an engine compartment of a vehicle, an ammonia concentration sensor is arranged above a liquid ammonia injector which is attached to an internal combustion engine body and to the rear in a direction of progression of the vehicle. An ammonia concentration which is detected by the ammonia concentration sensor is used as the basis to judge if ammonia is leaked.

摘要: A fuel injection apparatus of an internal combustion engine includes a valve body movably disposed for back and forth movement in a fuel passage to open and close a fuel injection hole of the fuel injection apparatus. An armature is attached to the valve body. A valve-opening solenoid coil drives the armature in a valve-opening direction. A valve-closing solenoid coil drives the armature in a valve-closing direction. A controller that sets an overlap time, which is a time by which starting of electrifying of the valve-closing solenoid coil precedes stopping of electrifying of the valve-opening solenoid coil, controls the solenoid coils in accordance with a fuel pressure supplied to the fuel injection apparatus such that a valve-closing force on the valve body does not exceed an open valve holding force on the valve body prior to the time when stopping of the electrifying of the valve-opening solenoid coil occurs.

摘要: A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The injector has a valve body, an injection hole which has a width larger than a height thereof, and a fuel reservoir on the downstream side of a seat portion of the valve body. The fuel reservoir has a side surface and a bottom surface. One part of the side surface imparts one velocity component oriented in the direction of width in the injection hole to the fuel flow along the one part of the side surface. Another part of the side surface imparts another velocity component oriented in the direction of width in the injection hole to the fuel flow along the another part of the side surface. The bottom surface is formed at right angles with the center axis of the injection hole. The injection hole is communicated with the fuel reservoir via the bottom surface thereof.

摘要: In a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine having a valve body, an injection hole and a fuel reservoir on the downstream side of a seat portion of the valve body, an opening on the outer side of the injection hole has a width generally larger than a height thereof, the width of the injection hole is gradually narrowed inward so that the fuel is injected at a predetermined angle in the direction of width, the height of the injection hole is nearly uniform in the direction of injecting the fuel within the predetermined angle in the direction of width, a through hole is formed at the center portion of the injection hole in the direction of width, and the through hole is communicated with said fuel reservoir and has a height larger than the height of the injection hole.

摘要: A fuel injection apparatus has a delivery pipe 7, an injector 8, fixing hooks 56 and fixing hook grooves 38. The delivery pipe 7 has an electric signal line and a connector 34, the connector 34 being placed at an end of the electric signal line. The injector 8 has an O-ring 52 and an injector side terminal 54 and is mounted to the delivery pipe 7, the O-ring 52 having a center P and sealing a gap between the delivery pipe 7 and the injector 8. The injector side terminal 54 is electrically connected with the connector 34. The fixing hooks 56 and the fixing hook grooves 38 prevent the injector side terminal 54 from sliding with respect to the connector 34 in the direction of an axis of the injector 8. The contacting points between the fixing hooks 56 and the fixing hook grooves 38 are positioned on a line L. The line L passes through the center P of the O-ring 52 and is perpendicular to the axis of the injector 8.

The rotational direction of the valve element is selected so that air flowing through the valve is guided by the valve toward the fuel injector when the air-flow control valve is controlled to an intermediate open position which is between the closed position and the full open position.

摘要: A fuel supplying apparatus has a fuel pump for pumping fuel stored in a fuel tank. The fuel pump supplies fuel from the fuel tank to outside the fuel tank via a take-up portion having a fuel take-up opening that opens in the fuel in the fuel tank and a gas take-up opening that opens in a space formed above the fuel liquid surface in the fuel tank. Fuel vapor formed in the fuel tank can be supplied to outside the fuel tank without being released to the atmosphere, by using a minimal number of component elements.
