    Abstract: A wheel includes an inner wheel half defining a plurality of inner bolt apertures and having a mating surface. The wheel also includes an outer wheel half defining a plurality of outer bolt apertures and having an inner surface. The plurality of outer bolt apertures are configured to be aligned with the plurality of inner bolt apertures such that each of a plurality of bolts may be received by one of the plurality of outer bolt apertures and one of the plurality of inner bolt apertures, forming a seal between the mating surface and the inner surface in response to each of the plurality of bolts being tightened. In response to a predetermined number of bolts becoming loose, a first portion of the mating surface may separate from a second portion of the inner surface, breaking the seal.

The composite rim includes a first sidewall portion, a second sidewall portion, a radially outer portion and a reinforcing assembly.     Abstract: A method for manufacturing a bicycle rim includes the following steps. A first bar of material and a second bar of material are formed by extrusion. The first bar and the second bar are respectively made into an arched section of material (unfinished external ring, unfinished internal ring) and cut. Excessive portions of the unfinished external and internal rings are cut from by trimming. The unfinished external and internal rings are assembled and interconnected to each other. The assembled unfinished external and internal rings are laterally pressed to promote a connection between the unfinished external and internal rings. The ends of the unfinished external ring are welded and connected to each other, and the ends of the unfinished internal ring are welded and connected to each other to from a rim structure. Any roughness of the rim structure is ground and the bicycle rim is finished.

    Abstract: A method of producing a bicycle rim including, positioning a first quantity of woven fiber strips having a first width and a first length and a second quantity of strips of said woven fibers having a shape different from the first shape to form a first laminated band from the first quantity and the second quantity of strips. A second narrower laminated band is produced. The first band is re-shaped to a V-shaped band before the first band is inserted along the periphery of a mold interior. A core is positioned on the first band and the second band is positioned on the first band. Rim well rings are positioned from outside on the second band, to abut the sides of the second band. A spreader ring is inserted between the rings to join the material near the upper rim flanks and the rim flanges.

And the inner lining chunk is used for the sustaining of the destruction due to the drilling for the threaded holes and of the strain due to the link of the attachment caps of the spokes, which enables a handy drilling for the threaded holes at the inner rim surface of the composite material wheel rim. And the adjustment of the tightness of a spoke is subject to the adjustment of the depth that the attachment cap joined helically to that threaded hole.
