Abstract: A shock absorber for a vehicle suspension system may include a damper tube defining an axis, a rod operably coupled to the damper tube to be movable along the axis relative to the damper tube in response to jounce and rebound events, a dust boot operably coupled to the rod and extending along peripheral sides of the rod and at least a proximal end of the damper tube relative to the rod, the dust boot being movable with the rod, a target disposed on a damper bump cap operably coupled to the proximal end of the damper tube, and a measurement assembly affixed to the dust boot. The measurement assembly may include a PCB elongated parallel to the axis to track relative movement between the target and the measurement assembly responsive to the jounce and rebound events to generate ride height information based on the relative movement.

A first resilient member disposed on the orifice plate defines a first sub-chamber in the first chamber and a second resilient member disposed on the orifice plate defines a second sub-chamber in the second chamber.

Abstract: A top mount assembly including a housing for being connected to the frame of the vehicle. A rod connection assembly is disposed in the housing for being attached to a piston rod of the damper assembly. A chamber is defined between the rod connection assembly and the housing for receiving a fluid. A resilient member is disposed between the rod connection assembly and the housing. A partition assembly is positioned between the resilient member and the housing and axially divides the chamber into an upper chamber region and a lower chamber region. The partition assembly defines at least one passage that extends between the upper chamber region and the lower chamber region. At least one electromagnetic coil is disposed adjacent to the passage for selectively modifying the characteristics of the fluid passing through the passage to modify the damping characteristics of the top mount assembly.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a vehicle including a friction control device are provided. A method of controlling the vehicle includes operating at least one friction control device in a first of a plurality of friction modes, detecting a vehicular speed, changing operation of the at least one friction control device from the first friction mode to a second of the plurality of friction modes in response to the vehicular speed exceeding a first threshold speed value, and changing operation of the at least one friction control device from the second friction mode to the first friction mode in response to the vehicular speed falling below a second threshold speed value that is less than the first threshold speed value. The second friction mode is associated with a higher level of resistance than the first friction mode.

Abstract: The four wheel vehicle uses an electric motor (142) for driving the vehicle and a battery unit (160) for supplying electric power to the electric motor. Abstract: A vehicle includes a linkage, a steering force transmission, a steering lock and a steering stopper. The steering force transmission includes a rear shaft that is able to turn about a rear axis, a front shaft that is able to turn about a front axis, and a connector that transmits the turning of the rear shaft to the front shaft. The steering lock includes a first portion and a second portion which are able to be displaced relative to each other and makes it impossible for a right front wheel and a left front wheel to turn by making it impossible for the first portion to be displaced relative to the second portion. The steering stopper includes a third portion and fourth portions which are able to be displaced relative to each other and restricts a maximum steering angle of the right front wheel and the left front wheel by stopping the relative displacement of the third portion to the fourth portions so that the right front wheel and the left front wheel are prevented from being steered to more than the maximum steering angle. The first portion and the third portion are provided on the rear shaft, and the second portion and the fourth portions are provided on a member that is displaced relative to the rear shaft.
