Abstract:
Systems and methods for visualization of a call over network (CON) are provided. In some embodiments, the visualization of a call over network may be effectuated by three functionalities: a readiness dialog box that enables the facilitation of the call, the inclusion of visualization and participant features within the call, and a visualized summary after the call. The readiness dialog box is presented to the callers prior to the onset of the call. It presents the other participant's and their status. It also enables the caller to send messages (both preconfigured and customized) to the other participants. Once sufficient participants have joined, the call may start. Once the call starts, it may be visualized by displaying on a single or multi channels, which caller is speaking, and any additional indications they may be providing. The caller may likewise be provided a set of participant features that allow the user to interact with the call. After the call concludes, a visualized summary of the call can then be generated. The summary includes any of the recording, transcriptions, scenario information, speaker information and the duration each speaker was talking, etc.
Abstract:
A communication system for an organization having multiple sites uses a dual-mode device capable of both cell phone communication and telephone communication on a local area network (LAN). IP LANS are established at organization sites such that a temporary IP address is assigned to a dual-mode device that logs onto an organization LAN, and the IP address is associated at a PSTN-connected server on the LAN with the cell phone number of the communication device. The IP server notifies a PSTN-connected routing server when a device logs on to a LAN, and also provides a destination number for the IP server. Cell calls directed to the device are then redirected to the IP server and directed to the device connected to the LAN.
Abstract:
A headset system (1) comprising a first telecommunication device (3) comprising a desk phone or a computer (4) with an installed softphone, a second telecommunication device, such as a mobile phone or a smart phone (6), and a headset (2) comprising a cord (5) with a first connector (7), by means of which the headset (2) is adapted to be interchangeably connected to the first telecommunication device (3) and the second telecommunication device (6). The headset system (1) is adapted to transfer a call from the first telecommunication device (3) to the second telecommunication device (6), when the first connector (7) is unplugged from the first telecommunication device (3). The invention also relates to An external device (8) comprising a second connector (31) to be attached to a first connector (7) of a headset (2), means (9, 10) for connecting the external device (8) to a personal computer (4) with a softphone installed on it, a controller (36) adapted to send a call transfer control signal to the softphone, when the first connector (7) is unplugged from the second connector (31), whereby an active call on the first telecommunication device (4) is transferred to a second telecommunication device (6).
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide novel solutions, including systems, methods and/or software, for handling calls in a dual-mode VoIP/cellular environment. Merely by way of example, some systems can be configured to determine whether to use a VoIP system or a cellular system to handle a particular call, and/or to transition a call from one network to the other network. Other systems can be configured to substitute a public number (which might be, for example, a VoIP number) for a private number (which might be, for example, a cellular number) when routing a call originating from a dual-mode phone on a cellular network. Further systems can be configured to allow a VoIP system to serve as an anchor for calls originated and/or delivered on a cellular system, for instance to facilitate a transition between cellular and VoIP service during a call.
Abstract:
A communication terminal receives display data for displaying certain data on a screen of a display device and image data of an optical-to-electrical-converted image from another communication terminal via a communication network, includes a storage part storing reception information indicating whether the display data has been received by the communication terminal and arrangement information indicating at least one of a size and a position of the image based on the image data, in a manner of associating with one another; a reception part receiving the display data and the image data; an extraction part extracting, based on the reception information, the corresponding arrangement information from the storage part; and a display control part displaying the image using the image data based on the arrangement information extracted by the extraction part.
Abstract:
A method of processing first and second record packets of real-time information includes computing for each packet a deadline interval and ordering processing of the packets according to the respective deadline intervals. A single-chip integrated circuit has a processor circuit and embedded electronic instructions forming an egress packet control establishing an egress scheduling list structure and operations in the processor circuit that extract a packet deadline intervals, place packets in the egress scheduling list according to deadline intervals; and embed a decoder that decodes the packets according to a priority depending to their deadline intervals.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus, and method are provided for automatically provisioning wireless local area network (LAN) access point and/or hotspot information, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service provider information, and VoIP account information on a service provider's Web page to configure a wireless VoIP headset for use.
Abstract:

In one implementation, a telephony system includes: a phone connection for connecting to a telephone; a network connection for connecting to a network; and a controller connected to said phone connection and to said network connection; wherein said controller provides a phone service for processing information for said phone connection, said controller provides a network service for processing information for said network connection, and said controller provides a network voice service for converting information to and from a network voice format.
Abstract:
A method is presented comprising transmitting, from an application computer communicably connected to a call controller which is connected to a data network, packetized messages indicative of telephone calls in progress at an endpoint of the data network, or indicative of such endpoint, and transmitting, from the call controller to the application computer, packetized messages indicative of a variety of information contained in, or relevant to, the telephone calls so as to process such information for a variety of applications. Apparatus to implement the method is also presented.
