摘要: Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for the identification of teloRNA marks to assess the differentiation status of an individual stem cell or a population of stem cells, to diagnose whether and to what extent a stem cell or stem cell culture has already initiated cell differentiation, and to monitor the differentiation status of an individual stem cell or a stem cell culture during passage. The use of these methods and compositions to monitor the pluripotency and differentiation status of a stem cell or stem cell culture during differentiation enables the identification of undifferentiated and pluripotent stem cells prior to the initiation of differentiation. The methods and compositions can also be used to assess and maintain cell viability; to identify cells or a population of cells that are in a state of poor cell health; and to reduce cell growth or treat a diseased cell including, for example, pre-cancerous cells, cancerous cells, apoptotic cells, aging cells, cells undergoing stress, and otherwise diseased or dysfunctional cells.

摘要: A method and system for controlling multiple displays is provided. The disclosed method is used to control a plurality of graphics processing units (GPUs), wherein every GPU controls one or more displays. The method includes the following steps: providing a graphical interface the same to a graphical program library of an operating system to replace the graphical program library to receive a drawing command from an application program; determining a display set of the GPUs according to a display region of the application program, wherein a frame displayed by the display controlled by each GPU is intersected to the display region; and delivering coordinate-transformed drawing commands to the GPUs in the display set according to the display intersection region, wherein each GPU in the display set only draws the content of the corresponding display intersection region.

摘要: Anti-channeling pack-off particles used in a production section of an oil-gas well, a completion method, and a production method are provided. The anti-channeling pack-off particles are macromolecule polymer particles having an average particle diameter of 0.05-1.0 mm and a real density of 0.8-1.4 g/cm3. The particles are compactly filled into a space of the oil-gas well, which is required to be filled and packed off so that there is no channeling path after filling, thus effectively pack-off or sectioning the oil-gas well into multiple, relatively independent regions for production from the oil-gas well, and thus improving the production efficiency of the oil-gas well. Even if a channeling path occurs, a very small flow of channeling fluid of a carrier medium will move some of the anti-channeling pack-off particles in a direction towards the channeling path and accumulate those particles until the channeling path is filled, thereby achieving favorable effects of anti-channeling, packing-off, and sectional flow control.

摘要: A technique performs policy-based intelligent data placement in an electronic environment. The technique involves selecting, from a pool of candidate local area networks (LANs) of the electronic environment, a plurality of LANs within which to store the data based on a set of policy priority levels assigned to the data. The technique further involves generating a set of information elements (e.g., data fragments, erasure codes, etc.) from the data, and placing the set of information elements on storage nodes of the plurality of LANs. Such a method enables the data to be stored in a distributed manner and alleviates the need for a central storage facility. Since the data is distributed among the storage nodes of the plurality of LANs, system capacity and infrastructure is able to grow (i.e., scale) in a manner which does not create a problematic bottleneck.

摘要: An overlay network has a hierarchical cluster tree (HCT) structure on an underlying physical network, the HCT structure having clusters of local area networks (LANs) associated with respective sub-spaces of a hash key space. A cluster proxy node (CP) maintains a routing table and channels to both a parent cluster and member LANs, with routing information associating each LAN with a physical-network address (PA) of a corresponding LAN representative node (LR). Nodes sending routing request messages each containing a key value to the CP node, which returns routing response messages each including PA information from the routing table and/or the parent cluster. The PA information in the response for a given request includes a PA of an LR of a request-specific LAN whose sub-space contains the key value in the request message. A node uses the PA information to send a message to the LR node using the physical network.
