摘要: A method for communicating uplink control information to a base station using a user equipment is presented. The method includes identifying component carriers on the user equipment scheduled for Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) transmissions, and identifying at least one first ranking for each of the component carriers for transmission of uplink control information. Each first ranking is at least partially determined by whether the component carrier is configured for delay-sensitive transmissions. The method includes using the at least one first ranking to select a first component carrier for transmission of uplink control information, and encoding uplink control information into the first component carrier for transmission to the base station.

摘要: A container is disclosed, comprising a container body having an inner surface formed from a first non-plastics material, a neck forming a mouth of the container, and a lid removably attachable to the neck. A layer of a second non-plastics material is formed across a surface of the lid facing the inside of the container body when the lid is attached to the neck. The layer of the second non-plastics material extends across the mouth of the container so as to form a seal with the neck of the container when the lid is attached to the neck. The lid includes a sipper made of a third non-plastics material mounted in an opening formed in the lid. The layer of the second non-plastics material and the sipper are disposed so as to form a fluid-tight connection between them. The sipper is detachable from the lid and the sipper is held in place relative to the opening of the lid by upper and lower flanges. A method for manufacturing the container is also disclosed.

摘要: Methods of allocating orthogonal resources of a wireless communication network to a user equipment (UE) that uses transmit diversity are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the UE is configured to transmit a reference symbol and a modulated symbol on multiple orthogonal resources on an antenna. The method includes: selecting, by the UE, a first and a second orthogonal resource, respectively, from a plurality of orthogonal resources according to the state of information bits to be communicated by the UE; and transmitting, by the UE, the reference and data symbols on the first and the second orthogonal resource, respectively, on one antenna. The first and the second resource are different for at least one of the states of the information bits. The first and the second resource are both in the same physical resource block.

摘要: A transceiver comprising a plurality of CMOS chips, a first chip comprising optical and optoelectronic devices and at least a second chip comprising electronic devices may be operable to communicate an optical source signal from a semiconductor laser into the first CMOS chip. The optical source signal may be used to generate first optical signals that may be transmitted from the first CMOS chip to optical fibers. Second optical signals may be received from the optical fibers and converted to electrical signals via photodetectors. The optical source signal may be communicated from the semiconductor laser into the CMOS chip via optical fibers in to a top surface and the first optical signals may be communicated out of a top surface of the CMOS chip. The first optical signals may be communicated from the first CMOS chip via optical couplers, which may comprise grating couplers.

摘要: Systems and methods for storing assets in storage systems external to asset management systems while still allowing the asset management systems to track the stored assets are disclosed. One method begins by first receiving an asset to be stored in an asset management system. Next, a first location on a storage managed by the asset management system is determined. A second location on a storage system external to the asset management system is then determined. The external storage system has been configured to store the asset. The asset is then stored at the second location. A logical link is then determined to the second location. Finally, the logical link is stored at the first location. The disclosed systems and methods allow for an administrator to separate the storage methods used by asset management systems from the asset tracking and logging capabilities of asset management systems.

摘要: Systems and methods for allowing an administrator or program to select a region or set of avatars in a virtual universe grid for splitting into another, separate and distinct virtual universe grid. If a region is selected, all of the avatars and virtual universe resources associated with the region are locked, their data is retrieved, and another separate virtual universe grid is commanded to create and insert the avatars and resources in it. If avatars are selected, all of the resources, scripts, histories, and information regarding the selected avatars are retrieved, and the avatars are locked in the source universe. Then, another, separate virtual universe grid is commanded to create universe user identifiers for the avatars, and they are inserted into the separate VU grid. Cleanup includes deleting the region and/or avatars from the first (source) virtual universe grid.
