摘要: A self-checkout kiosk enables a patron to purchase or allocate to an account a product displayed in a vending area and carrying a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag. The patron exits the vending area through a security portal. The kiosk, a bill acceptor, a computer monitor and/or a mobile device enables the patron to complete a purchase or allocate transaction prior to exiting the vending area through the portal. The portal includes RFID reading antennas for marking products stolen when transferred through the portal without a transaction. Alternatively, a smart shelf keeps track of products on the smart shelf and keeps a checkout tally of removed products. If the patron does not complete a purchase or allocate transaction, or returns the product to the smart shelf within a user-defined set of time, the smart shelf will mark the product as stolen. A security system responds to products marked as stolen.

摘要: A system for providing deceleration in a hybrid vehicle having a hydraulic braking system and a regenerative braking system. The system includes a hydraulic braking sensor configured to determine a status of the hydraulic braking system. The system also includes a brake pedal unit configured to determine brake pedal data. The system also includes a battery configured to store energy generated by the regenerative braking system. The system also includes a processor configured to determine whether the hydraulic braking system is compromised. The processor is also configured to detect an emergency braking situation based on the brake pedal data. The processor is also configured to increase engine speed of the engine to induce engine braking, and increase the maximum charge limit of the battery to increase a regenerative braking capacity of the regenerative braking system when the hydraulic braking system is compromised and the emergency braking situation is detected.

摘要: A method stabilizes pressure of a reaction chamber during a process using a first gas and a second gas, wherein a gas inlet line is connected to the reaction chamber, and a second gas line and a first gas line are connected to another end of the gas inlet line. The method includes: feeding a first gas in pulses according to a waveform to the reaction chamber through the first gas line and the gas inlet line; and feeding a second gas in pulses according to a reverse waveform to the reaction chamber through the second gas line and the gas inlet line, wherein superimposed waveforms of the waveform and reverse waveform are made substantially or nearly flat, thereby stabilizing pressure of the reaction chamber.

摘要: A modular shelving system includes height-adjustable second vertical members that receive horizontal supports. Each second vertical member is supported by a first vertical member. Each combined first vertical member and second vertical member can be fastened together at different locations so the second vertical member can be positioned at different heights. The modular shelving may have a base to receive and stabilize the first vertical members. At the top of each second vertical member there may be an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism may be adjusted upward to be pressure fit against an upper stationary object such as a ceiling to help stabilize the modular shelving.
