摘要: An amplifying solid-state image pickup device includes photoelectric conversion transfer parts respectively composed of a photodiode and a transfer transistor, and a switched capacitor amplification part provided for every k (k: natural number) photoelectric conversion transfer parts. The switched capacitor amplification part includes an inverting amplifier composed of transistors, a reset transistor and a capacitor respectively inserted between input and output of the inverting amplifier, and a select transistor inserted between output side of the inverting amplifier and a vertical signal line. Input side of the inverting amplifier of the switched capacitor amplification part serves as a signal charge storage part common to k photoelectric conversion transfer parts. Output side of the inverting amplifier of the switched capacitor amplification part is connected to the vertical signal line via the select transistor.

摘要: A control device for a RAID device is provided which changes, when one or more disks are added, allocation of segments to existing stripes, each of which have created by use of existing disks, by use of the one or more disks to be added without changing the number of segments that constitute each stripe. The control device obtains one unallocated segment from each of disks, each of which is selected from the existing disks and the one or more disks to be added, the number of disks is equal to the predetermine number of segments to create a stripe. Then the control device creates a new stripe to which the obtained unallocated segment is allocated.

摘要: An emergency determination mechanism determines whether the necessity of an emergency stop of a vehicle is high. If the emergency determination mechanism determines that the necessity of the emergency stop is high, a granular object sprinkling device sprinkles granular objects on a road surface in front of a vehicle in a running direction. At the same time, when the granular object sprinkling device is operated to sprinkle the granular objects, an ABS control device changes the setting of a target slip ratio as a target value in ABS control from a relatively small first value to a relatively large second value.

摘要: The method comprises the step polishing the surface of a film-to-be-polished formed over a semiconductor substrate 10 with a polishing pad while a polishing slurry containing abrasive grains, and an additive of a surfactant is being supplied onto the polishing pad 104 to thereby planarize the surface of the film-to-be-polished, and the step of further polishing the surface of the film-to-be-polished with the polishing pad while the polishing slurry and water are being supplied onto the polishing pad, after the surface of the film-to-be-polished has been planarized. In the finishing polish, not only deionized water but also the polishing slurry are supplied on to the polishing pad, a position for the polishing slurry to be supplied to and a position for the deionized water to be supplied to are suitably set, and a ratio of a supply amount of the polishing slurry and a supply amount of the deionized water is suitably set, whereby the intra-plane film thickness of the film-to-be-polished as finish-polished can be uniform.

摘要: A method for driving a liquid crystal display, and a driving circuit of the liquid crystal display configured at low costs and being small in size, and an image display device are provided, which are capable of converting an analog and serial video signal having a high resolution into a parallel video signal, which enables high-quality images to be displayed with high resolutions without inconsistencies in displaying. In response to sampling pulses, analog and serial video signal is sequentially sample-held as ten pieces of parallel video signals and four-pieces of continuously sample-held video signals are output simultaneously as four parallel video signals while these signals are held and in response to the sampling pulse by being selected earlier by a delay time in switching of selectors than sampling in the next period is started.

摘要: A sputter target is made of a Ti—Al alloy containing Al in the range of 1 to 30 atm %. In the Ti—Al alloy constituting the sputter target, Al exists in at least one of a solid solution state in Ti and a state in which Al forms an intermetallic compound with Ti, and variation in Al content in the entire target is limited within 10%. Furthermore, an average crystal grain diameter of the Ti—Al alloy is 500 &mgr;m or less, and variation in crystal grain diameter in the entire target is limited within 30%. A Ti—Al—N film as a barrier film is formed by using the sputter target made of the Ti—Al alloy as described above. An electronic component includes a barrier film formed on a semiconductor substrate.

摘要: A disk apparatus which can prevent a disk from being damaged when a shock is applied to the disk apparatus is provided. A disk is rotatably supported in a space formed between a tray and a cover when the disk is loaded in the disk apparatus. A contacting member is provided in the space so that the contacting member contacts an outermost annular area of a surface of the disk when the disk is warped. The outermost annular area is a non-recordable area which is adjacent to a rim of the disk.
