摘要: A vehicle driving assist system calculates a risk potential of the subject vehicle with respect to a front obstacle by estimating a compression amount of a vertical resilient member which is imaginary provided at the front of the subject vehicle when the subject vehicle approaches the front obstacle. The correction amounts of drive force and braking force and the correction amount of reaction force are calculated based upon the calculated risk potential so as to perform drive force/braking force correction control and reaction force control simultaneously.

摘要: The present invention relates to an electrical connector assembly capable of achieving a high-precision fit starting with fairly rough positioning, the assembly consisting of a first connector which is equipped with multiple substrates secured in an array and a second connector which is equipped with female terminals and mates with the first connector. The electrical connector has a rough guide mechanism (first guides and second guides as well as first complementary guides and second complementary guides) which guides a mating between the first connector and the second connector relatively roughly at an initial stage of mating, and a precision guide mechanism (chamfers on substrates and corresponding tapers on a housing of the second connector) which guides the mating between the first connector and the second connector relatively precisely at an advanced stage of mating.

摘要: A rolled product for a chain and a method for producing the rolled product are disclosed. Plural dimples are formed in a zigzag pattern in at least one of inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the rolled product, the dimples absorbing plastic deformation of a rolled workpiece when the rolled product is forced through a circular orifice of a die, and plural recessed portions are defined by the dimples on any imaginary straight line on the dimpled surface in the axial direction of the rolled product. The absorption of plastic flow by the dimples prevents a waving phenomenon from occurring at the end faces of the rolled product. When the rolled product is used as a chain component such as bushing or roller, it is possible to prevent leakage of a lubricant in the axial direction of the rolled product, and hence possible to improve the lubricant retaining performance in a rotating and sliding portion.

摘要: A disclosed vibration insulating device, which is interposed between a vibrating body and a mounting body, includes a fluid chamber fluid filled with fluid, an elastic support partly defining the fluid chamber, a movable member partly defining the fluid chamber, a supporting member supporting the movable member, an actuator opposed to the movable member, the actuator that generates displacement force to displace the movable member, and a gap holding member disposed between the supporting member and the actuator. The gap holding member maintains a gap between the actuator and the movable member. Also, according to a disclosed assembly method of the vibration insulating device, the movable member is supported so as to oppose the actuator by using the supporting member and the gap holding member such that it is capable of being displaced with respect to the actuator. Here, in the method, the gap holding member is positioned between the movable member and the actuator.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor integrated circuit wherein a patterned wafer polishing machine for uniformly polishing a surface by chemical mechanical polishing is utilized which is provided with a head for holding a wafer and rubbing it on an abrasive surface. A pressure plate provided with vents is held by the head body which is provided with a gas inlet and an elastic film for sealing vents is provided on the end face on the side reverse to the gas inlet side of the pressure plate. A patterned wafer is held by the head as the wafer, pressed by action of the pressure of air from the gas inlet via the elastic film is pressed mechanically by the pressure plate. The polishing surface which is a principal plane on the patterned side of the wafer is mechanochemically polished by the abrasive surface.

摘要: A positive photosensitive composition for use with an infrared laser comprises one or more alkali aqueous solution soluble polymer compounds (A) having in a molecule at least one group selected from a phenolic hydroxide group (a-1), a sulfonamide group (a-2), and an active imide group (a-3); a compound (B) which has an I/O value (Y) satisfying a relationship 0.05.ltoreq..vertline.X-Y.vertline..ltoreq.0.5 wherein X is an I/O value of the polymer compound (A), and which is compatible with the polymer compound (A) thereby lowering solubility of the polymer compound (A) into an alkali aqueous solution, an effect of lowering the solubility being reduced by heating; and a compound (C) which generates heat upon absorbing light. The photosensitive composition does not contain any compound having a thermal decomposition temperature of 150.degree. C. or less. Alternatively, the photosensitive composition may comprise a compound which generates heat upon absorbing light; an alkali aqueous solution soluble resin having a phenolic hydroxide group; and a compound represented by R.sup.1 CO--X--R.sup.2 (wherein X represents O, S or NR.sup.3 ; R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group or alkenyl group which has 6-32 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group or alkenyl group or aryl group each of which has 1-18 carbon atoms).

摘要: A local area network (LAN) connection method runs an existing LAN application in an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network to connect LANS. The LAN connection method includes the steps of (a) in a LAN emulation (LANE) protocol which operates an existing network in the ATM network, connecting LAN emulation servers (LESs) which mainly cope with addresses from medial access control (MAC) addresses to ATM addresses in emulated LANs (ELANs) by a virtual channel connection (VCC) for transferring a LAN emulation address resolution protocol (LE ARP) which inquires the ATM address from the MAC address, and (b) transferring a LE ARP request with respect to a LAN emulation client (LEC) in a second ELAN to a LES in the second ELAN when a LES in a first ELAN receives the LE ARP request from a LEC in the first ELAN.

摘要: A focusing X-ray crystal monochromator in which one or more crystal layers having different spacings of lattice plane are stacked on a crystal base. Due to different spacings of lattice plane, the angle of reflection and diffraction of a diverging incident X-ray beam can be so changed that the beam takes a parallel or focusing direction for monochromatization. Thus, the monochromator of the present invention can be applied to the X-ray lithography for transferring a pattern of high resolution or the X-ray analysis such as the fine X-ray diffraction.
