Abstract: A method and apparatus to shield various components (e.g., a gasket, a sensor, a wire, a mechanical component made of metals and/or polymers) deployed in a vacuum environment using a shield assembly formed from multiple ceramic fibers. The shield assembly reduces damage to the components when exposed to a plasma and the generation of contaminants. The ceramic fibers are formed from a ceramic and arranged in a packed structure creating a tortuous trajectory that suppresses the transport of charged particles and/or contaminants through the shield assembly. The ceramic fibers are mechanically compliant and readily bent and/or packed into gaps without fracture. The ceramic fibers may also be formed into a tube to surround a fiberglass rod, a gasket, a sensor, and/or a wire. The presence of the shield assemblies also permits cleaning of the interior surfaces of the vacuum chamber using a plasma without generating contaminants from the gaskets.

Abstract: The present invention provides a lace fabric of a helical structure containing twisted optical fiber threads and a production method therefor. The lace fabric includes light guiding threads, an external sleeve and braided ropes. The light guiding threads and the braided ropes are mutually twisted to form a whole body; the external sleeve is further sleeved outside the light guiding threads and the braided ropes; an LED light source module is arranged at the outer parts of the light guiding threads and the braided ropes; and a light-emitting end of the LED light source module and the light guiding threads are arranged opposite to each other. The present invention is safe, is low in cost, is conveniently applied to and combined into various daily supplies, is used in some spaces with little light, such as outdoors in the night and other places.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and a system for the production of at least one polymeric yarn comprising means for mixing a polymer (1) with a first solvent yielding a mixture; means for homogenizing the mixture; means for rendering the mixture inert (21, 22, 23); means for dipping the mixture into a quenching bath (30), wherein an air gap is maintained before the mixture reaches the quenching bath (30) liquid surface forming at least one polymeric yarn; means for drawing (41) the at least one polymeric yarn at least once; means for washing (5) the at least one polymeric yarn with a second solvent that is more volatile than the first solvent; means for heating the at least one polymeric yarn (6); means for drawing at room temperature (7) the at least one polymeric yarn at least once; and means for heat drawing (8) the at least one polymeric yarn at least once.
The instant invention also concerns a system and method of dosing a polymer mixture with a first solvent into an extruder (26), a device (5), a system and a method of solvent extraction from at least one polymeric yarn, and a method and system of mechanical pre-recovery (4) of at least one liquid in at least one polymeric yarn.-

Abstract: A net is formed by joining cables which are over-knitted with cord. A cable may be made of wire or stainless-steel cable. A composite cable is a cable that is over-knitted with cord to form a composite cable. The cord may be made of fibrous material and in some embodiments is made of aramid fibers. Adjacent composite cables are joined at regular intervals to form a net. In some embodiments, composite cables are composed of cable with an over-knitted cord, inter-knitted at junctions that are spaced at regular intervals to form a net. The individual cables are over-knitted with cord and the junctions are formed as the over-knitted cords are inter-knitted.
