摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation apparatus including an engine; a suction line; an exhaust line; a post-processing unit which is disposed in the exhaust line to reduce hazardous substances contained in the exhaust gas; a first circulation line which guides a part of the exhaust gas, which is guided to the exhaust line, to the suction line; a second circulation line which guides a part of the exhaust gas, which is guided to a downstream side of the post-processing unit, to the suction line; and a bypass line which branches off from an upstream side of the second circulation line, and merges with a downstream side of the second circulation line, wherein ammonia slip, which is discharged from the post-processing unit, is prevented from being guided to the suction line.

摘要: Exhaust gas recirculation systems are provided for an internal combustion engine. The system includes an exhaust conduit configured to receive exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine. A junction is disposed to receive the exhaust gas from the exhaust conduit. An EGR conduit is connected with the junction and configured to recirculate a portion of the exhaust gas to the internal combustion engine. A tailpipe is connected with the junction and configured to discharge at least a portion of the exhaust gas to atmosphere. A control valve is disposed at the junction and is configured to control entry of the exhaust gas into the EGR conduit, and the control valve is configured to throttle entry of the exhaust gas into the tailpipe.

The first compressor, the first cooler, the second compressor and the second cooler are disposed within the VEE.

摘要: A method for operating an internal combustion engine is provided. The internal combustion engine has a compressor for adjusting a charge density in an intake pipe of the internal combustion engine and has an adjusting device, such as a variable valve gear, for adjusting a volumetric efficiency of the internal combustion engine. A dynamic setpoint quantity for the internal combustion engine is determined as a function of a difference between a load demand upon the internal combustion engine and a current load output of the internal combustion engine. The volumetric efficiency and the charge density are adjusted as a function of the dynamic setpoint quantity. An internal combustion engine and a vehicle are also provided.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for operating a split exhaust engine system that provides blowthrough air and exhaust gas recirculation to an intake passage via a first exhaust manifold and exhaust gas to an exhaust passage via a second exhaust manifold. In one example, in response to flowing the exhaust gas recirculation and blowthrough air from the first exhaust manifold to the intake passage via a first set of exhaust valves, a first set of swirl valves coupled upstream of a first set of intake valves may be adjusted to at least partially block intake air flow to the first set of intake valves. Each engine cylinder may include two intake valves including one of the first set of intake valves and two exhaust valves.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for a single heat exchanger coupled to a main exhaust passage upstream of one or more exhaust catalysts or in between two exhaust catalysts for exhaust heat recovery and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooling. In one example, in the pre-catalyst configuration of the heat exchanger, during exhaust heat recovery, a portion of exhaust may be routed via the heat exchanger while the remaining portion of exhaust may be routed directly to the exhaust catalysts, and fueling may be adjusted on a per-cylinder basis to maintain a target exhaust air-fuel-ratio at the exhaust catalysts.

摘要: A dedicated exhaust gas recirculation (“D-EGR”) system of an internal combustion engine can include an exhaust recirculation passage, and a rotary valve. The recirculation passage can be coupled for fluid communication with an outlet of a D-EGR combustion chamber. The rotary valve can have a housing and a rotor. The housing can have a valve inlet coupled to the recirculation passage to receive exhaust gases from the recirculation passage, and a valve outlet coupled to an intake passage of the ICE to deliver exhaust gases from the rotary valve to the intake passage. The rotor can be disposed within the housing and rotatable relative to the housing. The rotor and housing can define a plurality of valve chambers.
