摘要: A system is disclosed for washing a selected component and removing the selected component from a wash material. The selected component may include red blood cells that are washed to remove a rejuvenating solution. The red blood cells may then be removed with various systems, such as a standing acoustic wave system from the wash solution. Pumps and flow restrictors that provide steady flow from pumps that generate pulsed flow are also disclosed.

摘要: Separation devices for separating a component from a multicomponent mixture are provided. The separation devices can include a body that defines a separation channel with a cross-sectional geometry that is not circular, rectangular, or square. The separation devices can be positioned relative to a base having an acoustic wave generator. A standing bulk acoustic wave generated by the acoustic wave generator can separate one or more components from the multicomponent mixture. Methods are provided for separating one or more components from a multicomponent mixture using the separation devices.

摘要: Methods and therapeutic compositions for treating respiratory diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and devices for administering the therapeutic compositions. Methods for treatment include producing a protein solution, producing a concentrated bone marrow aspirate (cBMA), optionally combining the protein solution and cBMA to form an therapeutic composition, and optionally saturating the autologous therapeutic composition with hydrogen gas, and administering the therapeutic composition to a subject in need thereof. The present methods, compositions and devices are useful for treating COPD and the progression of COPD.

摘要: A device for washing a suspension of cells. The device includes a bowl-shaped basin having a top end and a bottom end and an axis extending from the top end to the bottom end, and an inlet port formed in the basin. The inlet port is positioned at an angle to allow for a wash solution to be injected or delivered into the basin and circulate around the basin about the central axis. A suspension of cells can be washed in the circulating wash solution. The circulating wash solution forces the cells to settle at the bottom of the basin, where they can be extracted.

The buoy is carried in the separation container and has a tuned density that is configured to reach an equilibrium position in a suspension. The guide surface is carried on the buoy upper surface and is inclined to an accumulation position near a buoy perimeter. The buoy suspension fractionation system can be used in a method of isolating a fraction from a suspension, and in a method for re-suspending particulates for withdrawal.

摘要: A device for spraying a biological substance onto a biocompatible implant. The device includes a housing that defines a sterile chamber. A spray head is within the chamber and proximate to a first end. A first conduit is configured to direct the biological substance into the chamber through a first spray tip of the spray head. A second conduit is configured to direct an activator into the chamber through a second spray tip of the spray head. A third conduit is configured to direct compressed air to the chamber through a third spray tip of the spay head. The spray head is configured to direct a coating of the biological substance as activated by the activator to the implant seated within the chamber at a second end that is opposite to the first end.
