摘要: A method for pre-positioning a coaxial sample and sheath combination includes calculating a load shape profile including a plurality of layers of substantially equal volume. The calculated load shape profile is incrementally divided into cross-sectional slices at a first set of distance coordinates along a first axis. Each cross-sectional slice transects the plurality of layers. A sample includes a number of objects residing in solution. A sample chamber is loaded with the sample by incrementally dispensing the sample in a plurality of portions along a vertical axis divided into a second set of distance coordinates proportional to the first set of distance coordinates, where each portion has a volume proportional to the cross-sectional slice at the first distance coordinate nearest in value to the second distance coordinate.

摘要: A moldable bicycle sweat guard with a cover having a front end, a rear end and mirror image outwardly curved sides extending along the length of the cover. The cover is wider proximate the front end and narrower proximate the rear end. A pair of moldable wires fastened along the edge of each side substantially following the curved shape, each of the pair of wires having a portion extending beyond the front end. 摘要: A rapid antibiotic susceptibility test (AST) based on the detection and quantification of the movement of single bacterial cells with a plasmonic imaging and tracking (PIT) technology. The PIT-based AST detects changes in the metabolic activity of the bacterial cells long before cell replication, and allows rapid AST for both cultivable and non-cultivable strains. PIT tracks 3D movement with sub-nanometer resolution and millisecond temporal resolution. PIT also allows simultaneous measurement of the binding kinetic constants of antibiotics and bacterial metabolic state after the introduction of antibiotics.

摘要: A method for CO2 detection includes obtaining a gas sample; exposing a CO2 sensor to the gas sample, where the sensor includes a reversible and selective pH-sensitive nanocomposite sensor element for CO2 detection, and a hydrophobic surface; compensating for humidity and temperature; coupling at least one light source to receive signals from the CO2 sensor and respond to color changes in the sensor by transducing the color change into a light intensity change; measuring flow; and receiving signals from the at least one light source by at least one photodiode which responds to light intensity changes by transducing the light intensity changes into electronic signals representing varying degrees of light intensity.

摘要: A translationally maneuverable trailer jack track system includes a frame having dual opposing inwardly facing elongated slotted sides. 摘要: A system for quantitative detection and analysis of the interactions of molecules with molecular receptors on the surfaces of biological cells based on detecting a mechanical deformation in the membrane of a cell associated with the molecular interactions, which works for both large and small molecules. The mechanical deformation can be detected with high precision in real time from an optical image of the cell with a differential detection method. The system can be also used to detect the electrical activities, such as ion channel opening and closing, as well as action potential propagation in neuronal cells.

The inoculated waste material is shredded to produce shredded inoculated waste material which is fermented the shredded inoculated waste material for at least 7 days. Contents from the fermenter are then transferred into a dewatering device to produce dewatered contents which are then separated into soluble and suspended products.

At least one protrusion is separated from the forward block by a channel, where the channel and the protrusion are formed to receive a handgun trigger and trigger guard which is held between the protrusion and the forward block. The top flap portion of the elongated panel may be folded over the bottom flap portion to form a wallet, sized so as to be adapted to cover a handgun and fit in a pocket.

摘要: A method for 3D imaging of a biologic object (1) in an optical tomography system where a subcellular structure of a biological object (1) is labeled by introducing at least one nanoparticle-biomarker. The labeled biological object (1) is moved relatively to a microscope objective (62) to present varying angles of view and the labeled biological object (1) is illuminated with radiation having wavelengths between 150 nm and 900 nm. Radiation transmitted through the labeled biological object (1) and the microscope objective (62) within at least one wavelength bands is sensed with a color camera, or with a set of at least four monochrome cameras. A plurality of cross-sectional images of the biological object (1) from the sensed radiation is formed and reconstructed to make a 3D image of the labeled biological object (1).
