Abstract:
A three dimensional apertured film and methods of making said film are disclosed, as well as articles comprising said film. Methods for making said film comprise using counter rotating cylinders and a support web, so that said film is apertured using perforation means on a counter rotating cylinder.
Abstract:
Securing members and articles for undergarments are provided. Hygienic articles may be received by the securing members or articles, and the securing members and articles may be removeably or permanently attached to an undergarment, which may be disposable or reusable.
Abstract:
A method of thermo-mechanically forming macrotextures in a microtextured film wherein a heat shield is utilized to thermally insulate the microtexture during the forming process.
Abstract:
Methods and articles are taught comprising differential energy composites. The composite is a unified structure comprising layers with differing surface energies. A differential between the surface energies exists and access may be provided through one layer to another layer, so that liquids may be drawn into the composite.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture are disclosed for providing breathable elastic laminates comprised of one or more elastic materials bonded to on or more nonelastic materials. Articles of use are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A perforated laminate comprising at least first and second layers and apertures extending through at least the first layer. The first layer is a nonwoven or formed film material, and the second layer comprises an absorbent structure. The at least first and second layers are primarily joined at the periphery of the perforated apertures. The laminate is particularly useful as a topsheet for an absorbent article, such as a disposable diaper or sanitary napkin. Also described are various materials and methods used to create such laminates.
Abstract:
An absorbent article having a topsheet, an intermediate layer, an absorbent core, and a backsheet, wherein the intermediate layer is formed of an apertured nonwoven. The intermediate layer may include stiffening means such as apertured film or an additional nonwoven layer.
