Pixel arrays of an image sensor that include a first pixel and a second pixel adjacent the first pixel are provided. The first pixel may include a first photoelectric conversion device, a first charge storage device, a first floating diffusion node and a first transfer gate. The second pixel may include a second photoelectric conversion device, a second charge storage device, a second floating diffusion node and a second transfer gate. The pixel arrays may also include a storage gate on both the first charge storage device and the second charge storage device. The storage gate may have a unitary structure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to Corynebacterium sp. that is transformed with an Escherichia sp.-derived fructokinase gene to express fructokinase showing a sufficient activity of converting fructose into fructose-6-phosphate, thereby preventing unnecessary energy consumption, and a method for producing L-amino acids using the strain. The transformed Corynebacterium sp. of the present invention is able to express fructokinase from the Escherichia-derived fructokinase gene to prevent unnecessary energy consumption during fructose metabolism, leading to more cost-effective production of L-amino acids. Therefore, it can be widely used for the effective production of L-amino acids.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image forming apparatus and printing media cassette thereof. The loading position of a loading plate of the printing media cassette can be varied based on the printing medium size by a capacity adjustment unit. The capacity adjustment unit may operate in association with the size adjustment guide so as to define the loading position based on the size of the printing media. The image forming apparatus can include the printing media cassette detachably received in the body thereof.

Disclosed are biochips having a high detecting sensitivity with readiness in fabrication of microarray, and a method for fabricating the same, in which a solid support wound with fibers is immersed in a solution containing biomolecules to immobilize the biomolecules onto the fiber, and the individual fibers with the biomolecules immobilized thereon are straightened and arranged. The arranged fibers are embedded with a defined material and cut in a direction perpendicular to the lengthwise arrangement direction of the fibers to obtain thin chips. The chips are placed on a substrate to remove the material used for embedding and thereby remain fibers with the immobilized biomolecules on the substrate. This biochip fabrication method immobilizes a great number of biomolecules onto the fibers having a large surface area to enhance the detection sensitivity and allows production of a great number of substrates with an array of biomolecules immobilized simultaneously.

The present invention provides a nucleic acid detector for detecting a base sequences of a target DNA of interest, which comprises a DNA chip in which probe DNA and electrochemiluminescent material such as tris(2,2′-bipyridyl) metal complex, or derivatives thereof are immobilized on a surface of gold electrode; an electrochemical apparatus for applying a predetermined voltage to the DNA chip with respect to a reference electrode; and an optical measurement apparatus for measuring electrochemiluminescence generated from the DNA chip. The present invention also provides a method for producing the said detector for nucleic acids, and method for detecting nucleic acids using the same in a cost-saving way with high sensitivity.

A method for dehydrating an evaporator of an air conditioner of a vehicle is provided to drive a blower motor depending on the humidity of the evaporator while monitoring a dry state of the evaporator, thus allowing the evaporator to be appropriately dried and preventing a problem from being caused by the discharge of a battery, therefore minimizing an odor generated by the air conditioner of the vehicle owing to effective drying of the evaporator of the air conditioner, and consequently considerably improving the marketability of the vehicle.

Provided are an LCD device that can control a viewing angle freely and a manufacturing method thereof. The LCD device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and an LC layer interposed between the first and second substrates. The LCD device further includes red, green, blue, and viewing angle controlling subpixels. These subpixels are driven in a VA mode. The red, green, and blue subpixels have a transflective structure. The viewing angle controlling subpixel has a transmissive or transflective structure.

An image forming apparatus includes a main body, a document board to open and close an upper side of the main body while being pivoted, and a shock absorber to reduce impact generated when the document board closes the upper side of the main body, wherein the shock absorber includes a link pivotably mounted, at a first end thereof, to the document board while guide protrusions are formed at a second end thereof, and a guide slot formed so that each guide protrusion is movable. Since the guide slot applies a pressure gradually increased from the first end side of the guide slot to the second end side thereof, to the guide protrusion, a speed of the guide protrusion and a pivoting speed of the document board are restricted below a certain speed when the upper side of the main body is closed through the document board.

A method for fabricating a semiconductor device includes forming a gate insulation layer over a substrate, sequentially forming a silicon layer and a metal layer over the gate insulation layer, performing a first gate etching process to etch the metal layer using a gate hard mask layer, formed on the metal layer, as an etch barrier, and then partially etch the silicon layer, thereby forming a first pattern, performing a second gate etching process to partially etch the silicon layer, thereby forming an undercut beneath the metal layer, forming a capping layer on both sidewalls of the first pattern including the undercut, performing a third gate etching process to etch the silicon layer to expose the gate insulation layer using the gate hard mask layer and the capping layer as an etch barrier, thereby forming a second pattern, and performing a gate re-oxidation process.
