This composition has a PTC effect and is advantageously used in the form of a film (paint) covering a substrate. The composition of the invention is dissolved in a solvent and then spread over a substrate and the solvent evaporated. The metal terminals for connection to the electrical circuit may be placed at the ends of the coating before or after application. The invention also relates to a composite, namely the substrate covered with the PTC composition described above.

According to a first aspect, the invention relates to multilayer fluorinated films comprising at least three layers, including a layer A made of a first vinylidene fluoride copolymer with a crystallization temperature TcA, and a layer B made of a second vinylidene fluoride copolymer with a crystallization temperature TcB, TcA being greater than TcB, layers A and B being alternating, layer A being placed to the exterior and layer B between two layers A. The invention relates to a multi-layer weatherable film structure having an outer layer of a highly weatherable film, a layer having a high thermal deformation temperature, an optional tie layer, and a thin layer of polyolefin or polyamide. The highly weatherable film layer preferably is polyvinylidene fluoride. The polyolefin or polyamide layer is less than 500 microns in thickness, and preferably the whole film structure is less than 750 microns thick. The polyolefinjpolyamide side of the film structure can easily be adhered to many different substances—especially polyolefins and polyamides. This film can be used to provide a highly weatherable protective layer a substrate. One useful application for the film is in a photovoltaic module to protect the back side of the module from weathering and abrasion. The multi-layer film structure can be adhered to a typical polyolefin-based encapsulant layer and used as a backsheet encapsulant in a photovoltaic module.

The present invention relates to a process for forming a polymeric composition composed of a fluoropolymer and of zinc oxide (ZnO) of nanometric size from an acrylic masterbatch. The polymeric composition is intended for the manufacture of films transparent in the visible region and opaque to UV radiation. More particularly, in the composition according to the invention, the filler is present in a proportion by weight of 0.1 to 10%, preferably of 0.5 to 6%, the ZnO particles have a size ranging from 25 to 40 nm, preferably from 30 to 35 nm, these particles have a surface treatment and the said composition is devoid of acrylic polymers.

Aid structure has excellent properties of transparency within the visible range, excellent properties of opacity to UV rays, as well as good mechanical resistance and aging resistance while having excellent moisture barrier properties. Said structure can thus be advantageously used in the front surface of photovoltaic panels or fro protecting organic light-emitting diodes.
