    Abstract: A polyolefin formulation comprising constituents (A) to (E) in the following amounts: from 15.0 to 55.0 weight percent (wt %) of (A) a polypropylene homopolymer; from 77.9 to 30.0 wt % of (B) a poly(ethylene-co-1-alkene) copolymer; from 3.0 to 6.5 wt % of (C) an ethylene/propylene diblock copolymer; from 4.0 to 8.0 wt % of (D) a saturated-and-aromatic (C14-C60)hydrocarbon; and from 0.1 to 1.5 wt % of (E) an antioxidant; wherein the wt % of (B) divided by the wt % (A) is a mass ratio of from 5.0:1.0 to 0.50:1.0; and wherein the amounts of constituents (A), (B), and (C) total from 88.0 to 95.9 wt % of the polyolefin formulation; and wherein the amounts of constituents (A) to (E) total from 92.1 to 100.0 wt % of the polyolefin formulation.

    Abstract: A composition comprising from 10 wt % to 90 wt % of an ethylene component including at least one ethylene based polymer having an ethylene content of at least 50.0 wt %, a melt index from 0.1 g/10 min to 100.0 g/10 min, and a density from 0.935 g/cm3 to 0.965 g/cm3; from 10 wt % to 90 wt % of a propylene component including at least one propylene based polymer having a propylene content of at least 50.0 wt % and a melt flow rate from 0.5 g/10 min to 200.0 g/10 min; and from 1 wt % to 20 wt % of a composite component including a specified block composite, derived from at least ethylene and an alpha-olefin.

    Abstract: A dielectrically-heatable inventive method employing a polyolefin-based formulation including at least 5 weight percent of a zeolite, ion exchanged with a Group I or II metal, wherein the zeolite includes 21 or less wt % of water, based on zeolite weight, measured as LOI at 575° C. for 1 hour; and a base polymer selected from certain homogeneously branched linear or substantially linear ethylene/α-olefin or homogeneously branched propylene/?-olefin copolymers copolymers, provided that the base polymer has a melt temperature less than 100° C. This formulation may be used to prepare a high frequency (HF) welded article having improved failure and welding strength properties, particularly a weld strength in excess of 7 lb/in (1.23 N/mm).

    Abstract: The invention provides functionalized block composites and crystalline block composites as compatibilizers. In particular, the invention provides compositions of at least three polymers and a compatibilizer. The compatibilizer comprises a functionalized olefin-based polymer formed from at least (A) and (B): (A) a crystalline block composite comprising: a block copolymer comprising a propylene-based crystalline block and crystalline ethylene-based block; a propylene-based crystalline polymer; and, a crystalline ethylene-based polymer; and (B) at least one functionalization agent or a functionalized olefin-based polymer formed from at least (A) and (B): (A) a crystalline block composite comprising: a block copolymer comprising a propylene-based crystalline block and crystalline ethylene-based block; a propylene-based crystalline polymer; and, a crystalline ethylene-based polymer; and (B) at least one functionalization agent.
