    摘要: Modified rubber compositions comprise by weight about 15-60% of a highly saturated aliphatic rubber such as ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, about 25-80% of acrylate monomer units; and less than about 5% multi-functional monomer units. The compositions exist as amorphous heterogeneously dispersed phases. The first phase comprises the copolymer rubber to which polymers of at least 10% of the other monomer units are grafted. The second phase comprises the other monomers polymerized as homo and copolymers, not grafted to the rubber. Optionally, up to 20% of the composition comprises high index monomer units. The high index monomer units may be copolymerized with the acrylate and grafted to the rubber. Greater than 10% of the monomer units other than rubber are grafted to the rubber. The number average molecular weight of the grafts is between 10,000 and 80,000 daltons. About 2-20% by weight of one or more polymers may be provided to adjust the refractive indices of the rubber or the polyacrylate phase in the final product such that when the composition is present at the 10% rubber level, the haze can be reduced to less than 20%.

The anionic copolymer nanoparticles are distributed in nano-particulate form within the particulate powder component or coated as a film on particles of the particulate polymer powder.

    摘要: A method for producing branched polymerizates by radical polymerization of monomers in two stages comprising in a first stage, adding 10 to 500 parts by weight of at least one monomer M.sub.1 and 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a mercaptan with an olefinic, radically polymerizable double bond RM as a molecular weight regulator, and polymerizing said at least one monomer M.sub.1 mercaptan RM to form a copolymer MM.sub.1 in the presence of at least one polymerization initiator and 0 to 100 parts by weight of an inert, non-aqueous solvent, which completely dissolves the monomer M.sub.1, the mercaptan RM and the copolymer MM.sub.1, where the polymerizable double bonds of M.sub.1 and RM have a reactivity, expressed by a copolymerization parameter r, between 0.1 and 10, and in a second stage, adding 10 to 2000 parts by weight of a monomer M.sub.2 and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a saturated molecular weight regulator, and optionally, an inert, non-aqueous solvent, to the reaction mixture formed in the first stage, and polymerizing in the presence of at least one polymerization initiator to form a branched polymerizate.
