摘要： The present application is directed to a method and system for preparing gaseous utility streams from gaseous process streams, particularly, removing oil contamination from such streams prior to use in a dry gas seal. The methods and systems may include at least one kinetic swing adsorption process including pressure swing adsorption, temperature swing adsorption, calcination, and inert purge processes to treat gaseous streams for use in dry gas seals of rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines and pumps and other utilities. The adsorbent materials used include a high surface area solid structured microporous and mesoporous materials.

The crystalline molecular sieve is further characterized by the arced hk0 patterns of electron diffraction pattern. The crystalline molecular sieve is further characterized by the unit cells streaking along c direction. This invention also relates to a method of making thereof.

摘要： A catalytic composition comprises a metal hydrogenation- dehydrogenation component supported on a support material comprising an ultra-large pore crystalline material of high surface area and porosity. The crystalline material exhibits unusually large sorption capacity demonstrated by its benzene adsorption capacity of greater than about 15 grams benzene/100 grams at 50 torr and 25.degree. C., and has uniformly sized pores with a maximum perpendicular cross section of at least about 13 .ANG.. In a preferred form, the support material, which is preferably a metallosilicate such as an aluminosilicate, has the pores in a hexagonal arrangement, giving rise to a hexagonal electron diffraction pattern that can be indexed with a d.sub.100 value greater than about 18 .ANG..

摘要： A layered composition of matter, MCM-56, has an X-ray diffraction pattern including lines at d-spacing values of 12.4.+-.0.2, 9.9.+-.0.3, 6.9.+-.0.1, 6.2.+-.0.1, 3.55.+-.0.07 and 3.42.+-.0.07 Angstroms and has been selectively modified so that the ratio of the number of active acid sites at its external surface to the number of internal active acid sites is greater than that of the unmodified material. When used as an additive to a large pore zeolite catalyst in the catalytic cracking of a petroleum feedstock, the modified MCM-56 gives an improved gasoline yield/octane relationship, an improved coke selectivity and a higher combined gasoline and potential alkylate yield than an identical catalyst containing unmodified MCM-56.

摘要： Relatively short chain alkyl aromatic compounds are prepared by alkylating an alkylatable aromatic compound with a relatively short chain alkylating agent under sufficient reaction conditions in the presence of a catalyst comprising zeolite MCM-56. The liquid phase syntheses of ethylbenzene and cumene are particular examples of such MCM-56 catalyzed reactions.

摘要： There is provided a process for isomerizing and/or disproportionating a paraffin over a catalyst comprising MCM-36. Examples of paraffins which may be isomerized and/or disproportionated include those having from 3 to 10 carbon atoms. The reaction may take place in the presence or absence of cofed hydrogen, and the catalyst may optionally include a hydrogenation metal, such as platinum. An example of a particular reaction is the disproportionation of isopentane to produce a product comprising isobutane and branched hexanes.
