    摘要: A temperature responsive switch is provided which comprises a pair of bimetal discs having different temperature-deformation characteristics, a pair of fixed electrical contacts and a movable electrical contact. The movable contact engages one of the fixed contacts in response to a deformation of the pair of bimetal discs or remain free from engagement with either fixed contact. The engagement of the movable contact with one or the other of the fixed contacts and the absence of its engagement with either fixed contact constitute three conditionswhich permits a detection of a temperature of at least three different regions.

    摘要: A thermally responsive valve comprising a body separated into two portions and having an inlet port and an outlet port, two passages connecting the inlet port with the outlet port, a bimetal operated valve provided in one of two passages, and a check-valve provided in the other passage for permitting fluid flow from the inlet port to the outlet port. The check-valve is made of elastic material such as synthetic rubber and used as a sealing member between the two portions of the body.

    摘要: A thermally responsive valve includes first and second bimetallic disks which are adapted to snap-over in response to first and second predetermined temperatures. First and second inlet ports are connected to vacuum and atmospheric pressure sources respectively and first and second outlet ports are connectable to first and second vacuum actuators respectively. The thermally responsive valve further includes first and second valve members, one of which controls the communication of vacuum to the first vacuum actuator in response to the snap-over action of the first bimetallic disk and the other of which controls the application of vacuum to said second vacuum actuator in response to the snap-over action of the second bimetallic disk. When communication between the vacuum source and the first and second vacuum actuators is interrupted by said first and second valve members, the first and second actuators will be then connected to the atmosphere through the second inlet port.

    摘要: The thermally responsive valve device is comprised of a body having three passages therein, the first of which is adapted to be conected to a vacuum source while the second and third passages are each adapted to be connected to a suitable fluid operated device. The first passage is in constant fluid communication with two spaced apart fluid chambers within the body while the second and third passages are in selective communication with said chambers respectively. A valve member is located in each chamber for controlling communication of the second and third passages with their respective chambers. A pair of snapacting bimetallic disks are mounted in spaced relation within a third chamber in alignment with each other and each valve member. An operating rod is disposed in operative engagement between one of said disks and one of said valve members and a hollow tubular sleeve concentric with said rod is disposed in operative engagement between the other of said disk and the other of said valve members. A spring is operatively associated with each valve member for biasing the respective valve member toward said bimetallic disk to allow communication between said first passage and said second and third passages.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to the provision of a liquid crystal device constructed by sealing a liquid crystal material between substrates, wherein provisions are made to prevent reflections at the sealing, thereby achieving excellent transparency. The liquid crystal device includes a first substrate disposed on a viewing side, a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate, a sealing member disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a liquid crystal layer provided between the first substrate and the second substrate and sealed by the sealing member, and a muslin structure or moth-eye structure placed between the first substrate and the sealing member. The muslin structure or moth-eye structure serves to form a smooth refractive index gradient between the sealing member and the first transparent substrate, thereby enhancing the transparency of the liquid crystal device.
