摘要: A glaze composition suitable for a thin chip substrate, for example. The glaze composition makes a low-temperature glazing possible and is superior in the electrical and chemical stability. The glaze composition can prevent even a thin substrate from warping and can easily form an extensive smooth glaze layer without deteriorating a thin glaze face. The components of the composition are 20% to 50% by weight of boron oxide, 5% to 35% by weight of aluminum oxide, and 15% to 55% by weight of at least one alkaline-earth oxide selected from the group consisting of calcium oxide, strontium oxide, magnesium oxide and barium oxide.

摘要: A ceramic capacitor includes a capacitor body and a metal layer arranged on an outer surface of the capacitor body. The outer surface includes: a first capacitor major surface; a second capacitor major surface opposite to the first capacitor major surface in a thickness direction of the capacitor body; and a capacitor lateral surface between the first and second capacitor major surfaces. The capacitor body includes a first layer section and a second layer section. The first layer section includes a plurality of ceramic dielectric layers and a plurality of internal electrodes, wherein the ceramic dielectric layers and the internal electrodes are layered alternately. The second layer section is exposed at the first capacitor major surface, and includes a corner portion at a boundary between the first capacitor major surface and the capacitor lateral surface. The metal layer covers the corner portion of the second layer section.

摘要: A process for producing a ceramic body suitable for surgical implantation that has high strength and toughness and good compatibility with bone material. A porous material is provided by semi-sintering a ceramic compact. The pores in the surface of the porous material are filled with a first powder of either tricalcium phosphate or apatite or both, or with a material of the fine powder and a powder of a material substantially the same as the material of the ceramic compact. The porous material is then fired at the sintering temperature of the ceramic compact. Following sintering, the surface of the porous material is coated with a fine apatite powder or a finally pulverized mixture of apatite and a calcium phosphate base frit. The resulting assembly is then fired at a temperature up to about 1,350.degree. C.

摘要: An assisting tool for pressing a piston while fixing in place a syringe or a similar instrument which contains a highly viscous chemical agent, so as to extrude the chemical agent, as well as a method for extruding a chemical agent using the same. The chemical-agent extrusion assisting-tool includes a tool body in the form of a cylindrical body having a space formed therein for accommodating a tubular container, such as a syringe, which contains a highly viscous chemical, such as calcium-phosphate-based cement formed by kneading a calcium phosphate powder and a kneading liquid composed of a polysaccharide-containing aqueous solution, and an outlet formed at its bottom end. The cylindrical body has a cylindrical space formed therein so as to open at an upper end surface thereof. The assisting-tool further has a pusher including a handle portion for pressing a piston to be inserted into the tubular container, and a tubular body screw-threadedly engaged with the tool body and disposed on a side of the handle portion which presses the piston. The handle portion of the chemical-agent extrusion assisting-tool is rotated so as to press the tubular body into the cylindrical space and so as to press the piston into the tubular container, thereby extruding the chemical agent from the tubular container.

摘要: A process for producing a biocompatible implant material which can be suitably shaped into a variety of forms. A binder is added to a mixture of hydroxylapatite powder and calcium phosphate glass frit (5 wt. %), to thereby prepare a slurry, and the resultant slurry is granulated, to prepare spherical raw material granules. Separately, spherical polyisobutyl methacrylate particles are prepared, and the particles are dry-mixed with the above-prepared granules, to thereby obtain a powder mixture. The powder mixture is compacted using a mold press, to thereby form a cuboid sample. The resultant compact is heated in a drier at 170° C. for three hours, to thereby melt spherical polyisobutyl methacrylate particles. Thereafter, the compact is allowed to cool, to thereby bind the raw material granules together via the polyisobutyl methacrylate that solidifies after melting. After the compact is allowed to cool, the compact is subjected to shaping by use of a copy machining machine and also to drilling. Thereafter, the compact is heated at a rate of 300° C. hour, and fired at 1,250° C. for three hours, to thereby produce a biocompatible implant material.
