摘要: A correlator, such as may be used in a phase detecting device of an automatic focusing circuit for a camera , has a simple arrangement that attains improved accuracy and high speed. A pair of charge storing elements is provided to which input signals are applied. When predetermined charges are supplied into potential wells formed in the charge storing elements, charge remaining in the potential wells depending on their depth can be detected as the absolute value of the difference between the two input signals. Therefore, the input signals can be subjected to correlation directly as they are, that is, in analog form, without conversion to digital form.

摘要: A phase difference-detecting apparatus for detecting a relative distance between a pair of focused images obtained from subject luminous flux passed through an objective lens to thereby judge a focusing state of the objective lens. The apparatus includes a pair of signal generating sections which receive the subject flux and provide first and second time series signals. A switching-capacitor integrator is provided including a plurality of capacitive elements and switching elements for intermittently connecting the capacitive elements to each other, and for receiving the first and second time series signals. A control device compares the sizes of the first and second time series signals with each other to thereby generate a control signal corresponding to a relation of size between the first and second time series signals. The switching elements are controlled on the basis of the control signal to cause the switching-capacitor integrated value of an absolute value of a difference between the first and second time series signals, and to cause the switching-capacitor integrator to generate, as a correlation value, an integrated value on the basis of the first and second time series signals in predetermined numbers whenever the quantity of relative movement is changed.

摘要: A horizontal transfer section for a solid state image-pickup matrix, in which the parallel signals are first read by a first horizontal CCD. A second horizontal CCD is aligned in parallel with the first one and having a deeper potential well. A gate electrode separates the two CCDs. Thereby, the gate electrode can transfer charges from the first to the second CCD and the first CCD can be refilled with different signals. The two horizontal CCDs can be serially read out by common clocking signals.

摘要: An automatic focusing adjusting device for use in a camera is disclosed in which an operation processing on the phase difference detection to be executed when the focusing of an image pickup optical system is detected can be performed by means of an analog signal processing. In the automatic focusing adjusting device, when the distance measurement ranges in a light receiving part of sensor means are specified by operation means, then control means controls charge input preventive means in such a manner that only the signal electric charges that are stored in photoelectric conversion elements forming the light receiving part but belonging to the other distance measurement ranges that the ranges specified by the operation means are prevented from flowing into a readout part in the sensor means, whereby the distance measurement ranges in the light receiving part of the sensor means can be changed. Also, in the adjusting device, based on the output signal of the operation means or on the distance measurement information obtained from the sensor means, the distance measurement ranges in the light receiving part of the sensor means can be changed and the changed versions of the distance measurement ranges can be visibly displayed on display means.

摘要: A transistor includes p-type semiconductor (12) including a projection (13a) having a pair of side walls (13b, 13b) facing each other, a gate insulation layer (15c), a pair of n-type source/drain regions (BL1, BL2), tunnel insulation layers (15a), a pair of floating gates (FG1, FG2), inter-polycrystalline insulation layers, and a control gate (CG). The root portion of the projection (13A), which virtually connects the source/drain regions (BL1, BL2) with a straight line, is higher in the concentration of the p-type impurity than the other portion. A delete voltage for deleting charges stored in the floating gate (FG) is applied between the control gate (CG) and the source/drain region (BL1, BL2), so that a delete current flows toward the control gate (CG) or the source/drain region (BL1, BL2), the charges stored being deleted.
