    摘要: An electric control device 70 is applied to an internal combustion engine 10 capable of a pre-mixed charge compression ignition combustion in which air-fuel mixture gas including air and fuel injected from an injector 37 is formed in a combustion chamber 25, and the air-fuel mixture gas is self-ignited to be combusted by compressing the air-fuel mixture gas during a compression stroke. The electric control device injects high pressure fluid such as air from the air injection valve 38 into the air-fuel mixture gas at a predetermined acting timing within a compression stroke prior to fuel pyrolysis starting timing to enhance the temperature un-uniformity of the air-fuel mixture gas. This enables the temperature un-uniformity of the air-fuel mixture gas at the fuel pyrolysis starting timing to become larger than the temperature un-uniformity of the air-fuel mixture gas at the fuel pyrolysis starting timing obtained only by simply compressing the air-fuel mixture gas during the compression stroke. As a result, the combustion is moderated and the combustion noise is reduced.

    摘要: A control system of an internal combustion engine enabling effect production of hydrogen and reliable promotion of burning of ammonia by a simple structure. The internal combustion engine uses ammonia as a fuel and is provided with a fuel injector injecting fuel into an intake passage and a variable operating mechanism able to change a valve opening operation of the intake valve. In the exhaust stroke, this temporarily opens the intake valve. Ammonia for hydrogen production is injected from a fuel injector into the gas flowing back at this time from the combustion chamber to the inside of the intake passage. As a result, hydrogen is produced from the ammonia. In the following intake stroke, this hydrogen is fed into the combustion chamber together with the ammonia and is burned together with the engine drive use ammonia.

By the methods, plug portion having arbitrary depth and/or shape can exactly and relatively easily be formed. There is disclosed the method for plugging cell 3 of a honeycomb structure 1 having a plurality of cells surrounded by partition walls and extending through an axial direction. In the method for plugging the cells of the honeycomb structure, plugging member 6 molded in predetermined shape is inserted into the cell 3, and the plugging member 6 is bonded to the peripheral partition walls 3 to form plug portions. There is also provided the method for manufacturing the honeycomb plugged structure, including the steps of: plugging at least a certain cells of the honeycomb structure by this plugging method.
