摘要: Exemplary embodiments provide an optical penile blood flow measuring technology for the monitoring of neurological and vascular function of structures at surgical risk. The measuring principle is to rely on optical absorption properties of blood components for penile blood flow monitoring. Certain embodiments use different wavelengths to measure changes in hemoglobin concentrations and are particularly advantageous in continuous, autonomous monitoring with real-time feedback to surgeons for potential intervention and decision-making in a timely manner. The measurements results can be used to provide real-time feedback to surgeons operating on the patient, or for off-line analysis and evaluation. Certain embodiments can operate autonomously in the continuous measurement mode, a synchronized mode, or a triggered mode, reducing the need of highly-skilled apparatus operators, allowing automatic and real-time warning to surgeons when operating in areas while preserving the functions of critical nerves, resulting in improved clinical outcomes and reducing operation costs.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods of operating such apparatuses are disclosed. An apparatus comprises feature dataset input circuitry to receive a feature dataset comprising multiple feature data values indicative of a set of features, wherein each feature data value is represented by a set of bits. Class retrieval circuitry is responsive to reception of the feature dataset from the feature dataset input circuitry to retrieve from class indications storage a class indication for each feature data value received in the feature dataset, wherein class indications are predetermined and stored in the class indications storage for each permutation of the set of bits for each feature. Classification output circuitry is responsive to reception of class indications from the class retrieval circuitry to determine a classification in dependence on the class indications. A predicated class may thus be accurately generated from a simple apparatus.

摘要: In one embodiment the invention provides a process of capturing a biopotential signal at a surface of a body using a sensor receiver which forms a first signal connection the body wherein one or more parameters of impedance of the first signal connection are unknown. The process comprises receiving the biopotential signal at an output of a first signal channel having a first transfer function which is dependent on the one of more unknown first impedance parameters. The process also comprises receiving the biopotential signal at an output of a second signal channel having a second transfer function dependent on the one of more unknown first impedance parameters. The process also comprises deriving a set of relations for the biopotential signal. The set of relations is defined dependent on the transfer function of the first signal channel, the transfer function of the second signal channel, and outputs of the first and second signal channels; and solving the set of relations to determine the captured biopotential signal.

摘要: Novel tools and techniques for wearable device vital signs monitoring are provided. An apparatus system includes a remote device, and a wearable device in communication with the remote device. The wearable device includes a polychromatic light source, a spectral sensor, a processor, and a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions executable by the processor. The wearable device is configured to illuminate, via the polychromatic light source, a perfused tissue of the body of the patient, receive, via the spectral sensor, a resultant signal from the body of the patient, and determine a spectral property of the resultant signal. The wearable device may then determine a vital sign of the patient based, at least in part, on a lookup table and the spectral property of the resultant signal.

摘要: Methods, devices, systems, and kits are provided that buffer the time spaced glucose signals in a memory, and when a request for real time glucose level information is detected, transmit the buffered glucose signals and real time monitored glucose level information to a remotely located device, process a subset of the received glucose signals to identify a predetermined number of consecutive glucose data points indicating an adverse condition such as an impending hypoglycemic condition, confirm the adverse condition based on comparison of the predetermined number of consecutive glucose data points to a stored glucose data profile associated with the adverse condition, where confirming the adverse condition includes generating a notification signal when the impending hypoglycemic condition is confirmed, and activate a radio frequency (RF) communication module to wirelessly transmit the generated notification signal to the remotely located device only when the notification signal is generated.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments include wearable devices and techniques for detecting cardio machine activities, estimating user direction of travel, and monitoring performance during cardio machine activities. By accurately and promptly detecting cardio machine activities and automatically distinguishing between activities performed on different types of cardio machines, the disclosure enables wearable devices to accurately calculate user performance information when users forget to start and/or stop recording activities on a wide variety of cardio machines. In various embodiments, cardio machine activity detection techniques may use magnetic field data from a magnetic field sensor to improve the accuracy of orientation data and device heading measurements used to detect the end of a cardio machine activity.
