Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method to produce a wear resistant layer (1) and a method to produce a building panel (10) including a wear resistant layer (1). The wear resistant layer (1) includes a thermoplastic material. The wear resistant layer (1) is provided with portions (5, 6) having different gloss levels. The disclosure also relates to such a building panel (10).
Abstract:
A medical device includes a scaffold crimped to a catheter having an expansion balloon. The scaffold is crimped to the balloon by a process that includes inflating the delivery balloon during a diameter reduction to improve scaffold retention and maintaining an inflated balloon during the diameter reduction and prior and subsequent dwell periods.
Abstract:
There is provided a method of fabricating a blade platform out of composite material with integrated gaskets for a turbine engine fan, the platform including a base and a stiffener, the method including using three-dimensional weaving to make a single-piece fiber blank with a plurality of longitudinal yarn layers extending in a direction corresponding to a longitudinal direction of the base of the platform; shaping the fiber blank to form a fiber preform having a first portion forming a base preform and a second portion forming a stiffener preform; positioning platform gaskets at side margins of the first portion of the fiber preform forming a base preform; placing the fiber preform with the gaskets in an injection mold; injecting resin into the injection mold; compacting the assembly; heating the injection mold to solidify the resin; and unmolding the resulting platform.
Abstract:
A blocking piece covering the sound hole of a loudspeaker module may be arranged at a position where the sound hole is located on the case of the loudspeaker module and covers the sound hole. The blocking piece may be made of a nonmetallic flexible net. The nonmetallic net-shaped blocking piece and the case may be formed integrally by injection molding. The loudspeaker module and the blocking piece covering the sound hole thereof in the present invention may provide good acoustic performance, high reliability, high space utilization rate and/or high production efficiency. The assembling method for the blocking piece covering the sound hole of the loudspeaker module further makes the assembling of the blocking piece convenient for operation, and improves the assembling efficiency and assembling quality.
Abstract:
Container comprising an inner container and an outer container with facing surfaces, wherein at least part of at least one of the facing surfaces has a surface roughness higher than about 0.1 Ra and/or wherein the difference in roughness of said facing surfaces is at least over a part more than about 0.1 Ra.
Abstract:
Granular matter placed in a vertical cylinder rotated back and forth between limiting angles creates a sidewards flying bed. A spoke is connected at one between a vertical drive shaft rotating the cylinder and a first hinge. A drive rod is connected between the first hinge and a second hinge on a rotating flywheel. Rotation of the flywheel causes the drive shaft to rotate through an angle varying back and forth between limiting angles. The cylinder's speed of rotation varies. During most of the time centrifugal forces greater than gravity act upon the granular material, causing the material to form a layer on the inner wall of the cylinder. In at least a portion of the recurring time intervals the acceleration and deceleration produce tangential forces greater than the centrifugal forces acting upon the layer, causing the granular material to fly sidewards in a direction tangential to the cylinder's circumference.
Abstract:
A unitized composite structure comprises a composite member having at least one integrally formed composite stiffener. At least one end of the stiffener includes a runout forming a substantially smooth transition between the stiffener and the composite structure.
Abstract:
A machine to shape from a preform and fill with liquid successive containers in successive molds. The machine defines a first closed loop and includes a plurality of holding devices adapted to hold a neck of a preform or of a container. The holding devices are distributed along the first closed loop and the machine further includes a conveyor adapted to convey the holding device along the first closed loop. The first closed loop including a forming area along which each holing device is integrated in a forming station. The first closed loop also including one straight portion extending substantially rectilinearly.
Abstract:
A machine is provided for blow-molding articles from a strip of material. The machine has a mount with two frames mounted thereon. Each frame is connected to a movement actuator so as to be movable along a path of the strip between respective positions that are upstream and downstream relative to a travel direction of the strip through the machine. A pipe, a holder member, and a mold are mounted respectively on an item selected from the mount and the frames. A control unit is connected to the movement actuators to control them in such a manner as to generate a sequence of moving the guide pipe and the mold relative to the holder member and of opening and closing the mold in such a manner as to cause the strip to advance along the rectilinear path.
Abstract:
A protective textile sleeve includes a braided, tubular wall extending lengthwise along a central longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The wall has a decreased length, increased diameter first state and an increased length, decreased diameter second state. Heat-set, braided yarns within the wall impart a bias on the wall, wherein the bias causes the first and second states to be bi-stable and self-sustaining.
