    摘要: To provide a fluorinated copolymer and a water/oil repellent composition, whereby adequate water/oil repellency and excellent dynamic water repellency are obtainable and environmental impact is low. A fluorinated copolymer comprising units (A1) derived from a macromonomer wherein the average polymerization degree of e.g. 2-perfluorohexylethyl acrylate is from 20 to 30, and units (B) derived from a monomer (b) which has no fluoroalkyl group and no cross-linkable functional group and of which the glass transition temperature, when formed into a homopolymer, is from 50 to 150° C., wherein the average polymerization degree of the macromonomer per one molecule of the fluorinated copolymer is at least 1, and a water/oil repellent composition containing such a fluorinated copolymer.

The invention relates to surface-modified elastic bodies (e.g. gasket for syringes) at least partially having a surface modified by a surface modification method including: step 1 of forming polymerization initiation points on a surface of an object to be modified that includes a rubber vulcanizate or thermoplastic elastomer, and step 2 of radically polymerizing a monomer containing a C—N bond in a molecule thereof, starting from the polymerization initiation points, to grow polymer chains on the surface of the object.

    摘要: A graft copolymer having a side chain graft-polymerized by atom transfer living radical polymerization (ATRP) on a main chain polymerized by organotellurium-mediated living radical polymerization (TERP), wherein the molecular weight distribution is such that Mw/Mn is 1.5 or less. The graft copolymer is also such that a main chain moiety mainly consisting of the main chain and a side chain moiety mainly consisting of the side chain have microphase-separated structures. The graft copolymer has a narrow molecular weight distribution and forms microphase-separated structures through self organization of hydrophobic and hydrophilic moieties.

    摘要: Provided is a fluorine-based surfactant including a copolymer synthesized by copolymerizing, as essential monomers, a polymerizable monomer (A) having a poly(perfluoroalkylene ether) chain and polymerizable unsaturated groups at both ends of the chain and a polymerizable monomer (B) having an oxyalkylene group and a polymerizable unsaturated group. The fluorine-based surfactant cannot structurally generate PFOS or PFOA, which tend to accumulate in the environment and living bodies; even when the fluorine-based surfactant has lower fluorine content than surfactants having a fluoroalkyl group having 8 or more carbon atoms, the fluorine-based surfactant has a higher capability of decreasing surface tension than the surfactants. Accordingly, the fluorine-based surfactant can be suitably used as a leveling agent for a coating composition, a resist composition, or the like.
