Disclosed are thermally conductive quinoid-type conjugated polymer thin films. One such film comprises conjugated poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT). The thin films can be fabricated using oxidative chemical vapor deposition (oCVD), which offers unique advantages for integrating polymer films into various devices. By avoiding the use of solvents in the deposition of monomers and oxidants and undesirable solvent-derived surface-tension driven effects, such as dewetting, the oCVD coatings can conformally coat complex geometries, can be scaled to large areas, and can be fabricated at relatively low substrate temperatures on electrically insulating substrates. Disclosed is the formation of ordered polymer structures with rigid backbones achieved by oCVD with stacking in the transverse direction via π-π interactions. P3HT films with record-high thermal conductivity of 2.2 W/m-K near room temperature have been prepared.

The present invention provides a conductive polymer composite including: (A) a π-conjugated polymer, and (B) a dopant polymer which contains a repeating unit “a” shown by the following general formula (1) and has a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 1,000 to 500,000. There can be provided a conductive polymer composite that has excellent filterability and film-formability by spin coating, and also can form a conductive film having high transparency and flatness when the film is formed therefrom.

The present invention relates to a polymer comprising repeating units consisting of a substituted pyrrole ring. In particular, the repeating units consist of substituted pyrrole containing polar groups capable of interacting with carbon allotropes such as carbon nanotubes, graphene or nanographites, in order to improve the chemical-physical characteristics of the allotropes mainly by increasing their dispersibility and stability in liquid media and in polymer matrices. The invention also relates to products of addition of these polymers with carbon allotropes in order to obtain easily dispersible macromolecules.

The present invention belongs to the field of preparation of high performance polymers, and specifically relates to a low dielectric constant polymer containing dinaphthyl and hexafluorocyclobutyl ether units, and preparation method and use thereof. The polymer is prepared as follows: under the effect of an alkali, 1-naphthol bromotetrafluoroethane ether is prepared from 1-naphthol and tetrafluorodibromoethane in an organic solvent, and then reduced by a zinc powder so as to obtain 1-naphthol trifluorovinyl ether. 1-naphthol trifluorovinyl ether is treated at a high temperature to obtain a bisnaphthol hexafluorocyclobutyl ether monomer. The monomer is subjected to oxidative coupling in the presence of ferric trichloride so as to obtain a thermal polymer containing dinaphthyl and hexafluorocyclobutyl structural units with a good film-forming property, and in a nitrogen atmosphere, the temperature for 5% weight loss (Td5%) of the obtained film is 437° C., and the carbon residue yield at 1000° C. is 54.24%. The dielectric constant (30 MHz) of the film is 2.33. The polymer is suitable for use in the electronic and electrical industries as an insulation coating layer and an encapsulating material for electron components.
