Abstract:
A high-pressure gas compression-ignition engine includes a cylinder block, a piston and a cylinder head, the piston is mounted on the cylinder block and sealed by the cylinder head to form a combustion chamber for fuel work, and the cylinder head is respectively provided with an intake valve and an exhaust valve. It also comprises a fuel supply system, the fuel in the tank is pressurized by the pump body through a fuel channel and then supplied to the combustion chamber of the cylinder block; a fuel injection device for injecting fuel into the intake valve; a compression-ignition system, which is connected to the exhaust duct or the external air source, and recovers or sucks part of the tail gas energy discharged from the power stroke of the combustion chamber into the external air source, and stores it in the compression-ignition gas storage tank after compression.

The system comprises a main channel that is configured to debouch into an area where the compressor wheel is located at an outlet end thereof, to receive a supply of air in a first section thereof, and to receive a supply of exhaust gas further downstream in a second section thereof, and an exhaust gas supply arrangement that is connected to the main channel at the position of the second section. The exhaust gas supply arrangement is designed as a distributor comprising at least two exhaust gas supply channels which are separate from each other along at least a substantial part of their length.
Abstract:
A system and method of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) in an internal combustion engine are provided. The EGR system includes a first EGR flow path and a second EGR flow path independent of the first EGR flow path that are each configured to recirculate high pressure exhaust from the exhaust system back to the engine intake system. The system includes a controller in operable communication with the EGR system configured to selectively control an amount of EGR flow through at least one of the first and second EGR flow paths.
Abstract:
A control device of an internal combustion engine using a neural network, wherein an output value obtained by experiments is made training data for a value of an operating parameter of the engine in a presumed usable range, while an output value obtained by prediction without relying on experiments is made training data for a value of the operating parameter of the engine outside of the presumed usable range. The training data obtained by experiments and the training data obtained by prediction are used to learn the weights and the biases of the neural network so that an output value which changes in accordance with a value of an operating parameter of the engine matches the training data, and thereby even outside of the presumed usable range of the operating parameter, the output value can be suitably estimated.
Abstract:
An exhaust gas recirculation blower of an internal combustion engine, with a stator and a rotor. Assemblies of the stator and the rotor, which serve for conducting exhaust gas, consist of a material that is corrosion-resistant and erosion-resistant when exposed to an acidic atmosphere.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine system includes an internal combustion engine, a first turbine unit receiving exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine, the turbine unit having a compressor for compressing intake air and feeding the intake air by an air intake line to the internal combustion engine, and an exhaust gas recirculation line connecting the air intake line with an exhaust as line of the internal combustion engine at a position upstream the first turbine unit. A bypass line connects the exhaust gas recirculation line to the exhaust gas line at a position downstream of the turbine unit, the bypass line having an arrangement for controlling the exhaust gas flow from the exhaust gas recirculation line to the exhaust gas line.
Abstract:
A supercharged internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes: a compressor arranged in an intake passage through which air that is taken into a combustion chamber flows and for supercharging intake air; an EGR passage that connects an exhaust passage through which exhaust gas that is discharged from the combustion chamber flows and a compressor upstream passage; an EGR valve for opening and closing the EGR passage; an intake bypass passage for releasing gas that has been supercharged by the compressor outside a compressor downstream passage; and an ABV for opening the intake bypass passage by opening when the gas that has been supercharged by the compressor is released outside the compressor downstream passage. The intake bypass passage connects the compressor downstream passage with the EGR passage on the side that is closer to the compressor upstream passage relative to the EGR valve.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for increasing EGR gas temperature for an engine that includes at least one dedicated EGR cylinder. The dedicated EGR cylinder may provide exhaust gas to engine cylinders and the exhaust gas does not include exhaust gases from cylinders other than the dedicated EGR cylinder. The dedicated EGR cylinder may allow the engine to operate at higher EGR dilution levels.

Abstract:
An internal combustion engine comprises a first engine bank and a second engine bank. A first intake valve is disposed in an intake port of a cylinder of the first engine bank, and is configured for metering the first flow of combustion air by periodically opening and closing according to a first intake valve lift and duration characteristic. A variable valve train control mechanism is configured for affecting the first intake valve lift and duration characteristic. Either a lift or duration of the first intake valve is modulated so as to satisfy an EGR control criterion.
