摘要: A scanner comprises an electromagnetic wave source; and a detector positioned to measure emissions from the electromagnetic wave source, wherein the electromagnetic wave source comprises a first technology, and the electromagnetic wave source is interchangeable with a second electromagnetic wave source comprising a second technology and/or wherein the detector comprises a first technology, and the detector is interchangeable with a second detector comprising a second technology. Training the scanner to inspect for contaminants includes generating electromagnetic wave emissions at a plurality of combinations of parameters; moving a conveyor belt to expose product having a plurality of contaminants of different sizes to the emissions generated at more than one combination of parameters; recording attenuated emissions that pass through the product at more than one combination of parameters; and selecting a combination of parameters to use when inspecting for the contaminant.

摘要: An image acquisition system includes a radiation source configured to output radiation toward an object, a rotating stage configured to rotate the object around a rotation axis, a radiation camera having an input surface to which the radiation transmitted through the object is input and an image sensor capable of TDI control, and an image processing apparatus configured to generate a radiographic image of the object at an imaging plane P based on the image data. The angle formed between the rotation axis of the rotating stage and the input surface of the radiation camera is set in accordance with the FOD which is the distance between the radiation source and an imaging plane in the object. The radiation camera is configured to perform TDI control in the image sensor in synchronization with the rotational speed of the object rotated by the rotating stage.

The module system further includes an expansion module which is separate from the basic module and has a basic module interface, the basic module interface being able to be coupled to the expansion module interface for interchanging data, interchanging energy, and/or interchanging measurement signals, a number of functional groups, and an energy supply interface coupleable to an energy supply unit separate from the basic module and the expansion module, wherein energy provided via the energy supply interface is used to supply energy to the expansion module.

摘要: A radiation logging tool is provided that includes a scintillator detector for use on a wellbore tool string to characterize earth formations. The scintillator detector has a shutter to allow for the collection of data differentiating between incident radiation, such as backscatter signal, and system noise, such as dark current, vibration noise, electronics thermal noise, and electrostatic noise. The radiation logging tool provides for a method of calibrating and measuring incident radiation by the removal of system noise. The shutter is positioned between the photosensor and scintillation member of the scintillator detector, and is able to switch between open and closed states while the scintillation detector is deployed. Measurements of signal noise can be used to calibrate the sampling signal of incident radiation on the scintillator detector.

摘要: A radiation image acquisition system of an aspect of the present invention includes a radiation source emitting radiation toward an object, a holding unit holding the object, a wavelength conversion member generating scintillation light in response to incidence of the radiation emitted from the radiation source and transmitted through the object, a first imaging means condensing and imaging scintillation light emitted from an incidence surface of the radiation of the wavelength conversion member, a second imaging means condensing and imaging scintillation light emitted from a surface opposite to the incidence surface of the wavelength conversion member, a holding unit position adjusting means adjusting the position of the holding unit between the radiation source and the wavelength conversion member, and an imaging position adjusting means adjusting the position of the first imaging means.
