摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods and products for labelling, binding and/or detection of lipids. Certain embodiments provide a method of labelling a lipid. The method comprises exposing the lipid to a complex comprising a transition metal carbonyl compound, a conjugated bidentate ligand and a tetrazolato compound, and thereby labelling the lipid by binding the complex to the lipid.

The FLBPs comprise a lipid binding domain linked to a fluorophore, whrereby the fluorophore's fluorescence emission undergoes a spectral change upon lipid binding. Said fluorophore is selected from the group consisting of 2-dimethylamino-6-acyl-naphthalene (DAN) and RED fluorophore and said lipid binding protein is selected from the group consisting of ENTH domain of epsin 1, C2 domain of bovine lactadherin, C1B domain of protein kinase C-gamma, C2 domain of cytosolic phospholipase A2-beta, and PH domain of Bruton's tyrosine kinase PH.

摘要: Methods for detecting and quantifying phosphoinositide lipids in a sample are provided, together with novel SidC- and SdcA-derived polypeptide fragments, or fusion proteins comprising such fragments that may be effectively employed as PI(4)P probes in biochemical and cell biological assays. Applications of the disclosed probes include: (i) detection and quantification of PI(4)P in vitro; and (ii) staining of intracellular compartments in live or fixed eukaryotic cells.

摘要: Using NMR/MS based metabonomics and targeted lipidomics approaches the inventors have explored the metabolic phenotypes of aging and longevity in a cohort including centenarians, elderly and young adults. The inventors have identified biomarkers for a reduced risk of developing ageing related chronic inflammatory disorders and propose a method of diagnosing a lifestyle that allows delaying and/or avoiding ageing related chronic inflammatory disorders using PC-O 40:1 as biomarker.

摘要: The present invention inter alia provides a method, and use thereof, of predicting severe CVD complications such as AMI or CVD death by detecting the lipid concentrations or lipid ratios of a biological sample and comparing it to a control and has identified specific lipid markers that are more specific and sensitive in predicting these CVD complications than currently utilized clinical markers. Also provided is an antibodies towards said lipids, and the use thereof for predicting, diagnosing, preventing and/or treating CVD complications. The invention additionally relates to kits comprising lipids and/or an antibody thereto, for use in the prediction and/or diagnosis of CVD complications.
