摘要: A label is provided that includes layers; a base film, a thermal layer, and a heat-shrinkable layer. This label is adhered to the top seal of a container. When this label-adhered container is heated in a microwave oven, the thermal layer generates heat through microwave absorption, and heat thus generated serves to heat and soften the base film, heat-shrinkable film and top seal. The heat-shrinkable film shrinks under heat, opening notches penetrating through the label. The top seal thus affected by heating is further subject to a stress applied in response to the notches being opened, and a heated and softened portion of the top seal is also affected by an increasingly higher internal pressure. As a result, holes are formed in the top seal.

摘要: A method of recycling laminated fabrics and laminated fabric products and producing new laminated fabrics and laminated fabric products includes the steps of shredding scrap or used laminated fabric material, melt separating the polymers, pelletizing the melt separated polymers, extruding the pelletized material with at least one virgin material to form a film, and laminating the film to a nonwoven material to form a new laminated fabric. The scrap or recycled laminated fabric products can include plastic/polymer materials having different melting temperatures. The new laminated fabric can be utilized to produce new products, such as protective covers.

摘要: The present invention relates to multilayer packaging films having an outer super-hydrophobic anti-abuse surface and to bags made therefrom, with the super-hydrophobic surface as the outermost surface. The packages made from the films of the invention do not get wet during post-packaging treatments requiring hot-water or steam such as shrinking, sterilization or pasteurization (FIG. 7A). At the exit of the shrinking apparatus, or of the sterilization or pasteurization apparatus, the packages do not need any final drying and can be directly placed into the cardboard boxes for shipment, with evident advantages of time and energy savings.

摘要: There is provided a hollow extrusion-molded material formed by drawdown molding of a resin composition, the resin composition including, as a base resin, an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, or an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer and linear low-density polyethylene, the resin composition including a bromine-based flame retardant, antimony trioxide and magnesium hydroxide, wherein a composition ratio between the ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer and the linear low-density polyethylene, a content of the bromine-based flame retardant, a content of the antimony trioxide, and a content of the magnesium hydroxide are within specified ranges. There are also provided a crosslinked polymer of the hollow extrusion-molded material, and a heat-shrinkable tube and a multilayer heat-shrinkable tube obtained from the crosslinked polymer.

摘要: A self-adhesive label includes a bilayer having at least one layer of paper coupled to at least one polymeric film, wherein the polymeric film is coated, on the surface opposite to the surface of coupling to the at least one paper layer, with a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA). The adhesive has “wash-off” properties such as to cause the label to peel off from a surface by washing with a 1.0%-2.0% NaOH solution at 65-75° C. Alternatively, the adhesive has a force lower than the shrink force of the polymeric film. The label also includes an intermediate layer placed between the polymeric film and the PSA adhesive, capable of promoting the adhesion of the PSA adhesive to the polymeric film, and/or the polymeric film is treated with a corona, flame treatment or plasma treatment.

摘要: A shrink sleeve label is provided. Broadly, the shrink sleeve label includes an unshrunken shrink film and a varnish applied to the shrink film. The varnish is applied to the shrink film in an application area to reduce shrinking of the shrink film in the area where the varnish is applied. Additionally, the shrink sleeve label includes a secondary label that is applied to a surface of the shrink film. Further, a method of manufacturing a shrink sleeve label is provided. Broadly, the method includes providing a shrink film and seaming the shrink film into a tubular shape. Additionally, the method includes providing a secondary label and applying the secondary label to the shrink film. The secondary label is applied to the shrink film before the shrink film is applied to an article.
