摘要: p-Amino-phenols are advantageously prepared by catalytic hydrogenation of the aromatic nitro compounds on which they are based in a reaction medium of aqueous sulphuric acid in the sense of a Bamberger rearrangement at elevated temperature by a procedure in which the reaction medium additionally contains a water-miscible organic solvent.

摘要: A task is to provide a method for producing a polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound through a reduced number of steps at a low cost with high safety. The method for producing a polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound includes the step of reacting a compound represented by the general formula (1) below and an aromatic amino compound with each other: Wherein n represents an integer of 1 to 8, Ar represents a benzene ring optionally having a substituent, or a naphthalene ring optionally having a substituent, each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally having a substituent, or an aromatic group optionally having a substituent, and R3 represents a hydroxyl group, a methoxy group, or a halogen atom.

摘要: Dibenzorhodamine compounds having the structure are disclosed, including nitrogen- and aryl-substituted forms thereof. In addition, two intermediates useful for synthesizing such compounds are disclosed, a first intermediate having the structure including nitrogen- and aryl-substituted forms thereof, and a second intermediate having the structure including nitrogen- and aryl-substituted forms thereof, wherein substituents at positions C-14 to C18 taken separately are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine, fluorine, lower alkyl, carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, —CH2OH, alkoxy, phenoxy, linking group, and substituted forms thereof. The invention further includes energy transfer dyes comprising the dibenzorhodamine compounds, nucleosides labeled with the dibenzorhodamine compounds, and nucleic acid analysis methods employing the dibenzorhodamine compounds.

摘要: A naphthyloxazolidone derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen atom, hydroxy group, nitro group, amino group, sulfo group, aminosulfoyul group, a lower alkenyloxy group, a lower alkynyloxy group, a mono or di(lower alkyl)aminocarbonyloxy group, a lower alkanoyloxy group or a lower alkoxy group which may have a substituent selected from an aryl group, a cycloalkyl group, an oxygen-containing heteromonocyclic group, hydroxy group, a lower alkoxy group, cyano group, a di(lower alkyl)amino group, aminocarbonyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group, a lower alkanoyloxy group, a lower alkylthio group, a lower alkylsulfinyl group and a lower alkylsulfonyl group; R.sup.2 is hydroxy group, a lower alkoxy group, a lower alkylsulfonyloxy group, triazo group or an amino group which may have a substituent selected from a lower alkyl group and a lower alkanoyl group, and a pharmaceuticaly acceptable salt thereof are disclosed. Said derivative and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are useful as an antidepressant.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a procedure for making an enantiomerically enriched compound containing a hydronaphthalene ring structure. The process involves reacting oxabenzonorbornadienes with nucleophiles using rhodium as a catalyst and in the presence of a phosphine ligand. The compounds synthesized may be used in pharmaceutical preparations for the treatment of a variety of diseases and conditions.

摘要: A naphthopyran compound of general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a group of the formula --NR.sub.2 R.sub.3 wherein each of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, independently represents an alkyl group, or a carbocyclic or heterocyclic group, or R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 taken together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached represent a heterocyclic ring having one or more hetero atoms and which may optionally carry at least one substituent selected from alkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl groups; each of R.sub.4 and R.sub.5, which may be the same or different, independently represents an alkyl, alkenyl, carbocyclic or heterocyclic group, or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 taken together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form a carboxylcyclic ring or a heterocyclic ring; and R.sub.6 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent selected from alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, aryloxy, heteroaryl, halogen, a group of formula R.sub.1 as defined above, azo, imino, amide, carboxylate, ester, cyano, trifluoromethyl or nitro, and in addition R.sub.6 may represent a carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring fused to ring A. The naphthopyran compounds of the invention are useful as photochromic materials in lenses, e.g. sunglasses, and photochromic transparencies for cars and aircraft. The invention also provides, as new intermediate compounds, amine-substituted chloro-naphthols and amine-substituted naphthols.
