Abstract: The electrical equipment battery includes: a circuit board mounted with a heat generating element; and an outer case having a heat radiation plate made of metal. A heat transfer space is defined between the circuit board and the heat radiation plate, and then an electrical-insulating and heat-conducting gel is filled in the heat transfer space. Heat energy of the heat generating element is radiated to the outside via the heat radiation plate of the outer case. The heat radiation plate is provided with a flow-out block partition on the outer side of the heat transfer space. The flow-out block partition suppresses the electrical-insulating and heat-conducting gel from flowing out from the heat transfer space.

An exemplary system may include a temperature control circuit, a battery arranged in a first section of the temperature control circuit, other electric components arranged in a second section of the temperature control circuit that is arranged in parallel with the first section, a flow control device for dividing a flow of a temperature control medium between the first and second sections, a battery temperature sensor for determining the battery temperature, a temperature sensor for determining the temperature of the other electric components, and a control unit configured to receive and process input data from the temperature sensors and to output a control signal to the flow control device in order to control the division of the flow of the temperature control medium between the first and second sections in accordance with the temperatures determined.

Abstract: The present invention provides a secondary battery, including a positive electrode plate composed of an inorganic material including a positive electrode active material in an oxide form and having a thickness of 25 μm or more; a negative electrode plate composed of an inorganic material including a negative electrode active material in an oxide form and having a thickness of 25 μm or more; and an inorganic solid electrolyte layer, wherein the secondary battery is chargeable and dischargeable at a temperature of 100° C. or more. The present invention can provide rapid charge/discharge at a high cycle capacity retention and increase the capacity of the secondary battery.

Abstract: An apparatus for a fire suppressant system on a server rack includes an integrated battery feature, a manifold, a conduit, and a control card, where the integrated battery feature includes a plurality of battery cells in an enclosure. A first end of the conduit coupled to a control valve on the manifold and a second end of the conduit coupled to the integrated battery feature. The control card configured to open the control valve on the manifold, where the control valve is configured to release a fire suppressant into the enclosure of the integrated battery feature. In one embodiment, the fire suppressant is contained within a pressurized fire suppressant reservoir mounted on the server rack. In another embodiment, the fire suppressant is a cooling fluid diverted from a radiator cooling unit on the server rack.

Abstract: A battery module that includes a battery and a bidirectional DC-DC converter including a switching element that is arranged at a position where heat generated by the switching element is transmitted to the battery. The bidirectional DC-DC converter operates in a discharge mode in which DC power supplied from the battery is converted and supplied to an input/output unit, and in a charge mode in which DC power supplied from the input/output unit is converted and supplied to the battery. Moreover, a control unit forces the bidirectional DC-DC converter to operate in the discharge mode and to increase a switching frequency of the switching element in comparison with a switching frequency in normal driving, when a temperature in a periphery of the battery needs to be increased.
