    摘要: The invention provides a method of preventing or treating cancer in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 antagonist. Also provided is a method of preventing recurrence of cancer in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 antagonist. Further, the invention provides a method of modulating the immune system of a subject afflicted with or at risk of cancer by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 antagonist. Still further, the invention provides a method of preventing or treating an inflammatory response in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 agonist. Also provided is a method of preventing an immune system disease or disorder in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 agonist. Further, the invention provides a method treating an immune system disease or disorder in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 agonist. Also, the invention provides a method of modulating the immune system of a subject afflicted with or at risk of an immune system disease or disorder by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a GPR84 agonist.

    摘要: The invention relates to chainlike polycyclic bisanhydrides, containing between 2 and 12 permanent-chain cyclenes, selected from 1,3-phenylene, 1,4-phenylene, 2,6-naphthylene, 2,7-naphthylene, 1,4-cyclohexylene, bicyclopentylene, bicyclooctylene, cubylene, which can be mono- or polysubstituted with halogen, cyano, alkyl, fluoralkyl, alkoxy and/or fluoralkoxy. Said cyclenes are linked by bridging groups, selected from a single bond, -CF2O, -OCF2-, -O-, -S-, -SO2-, -CO-, -NH-, -(CH2)1-10-, -(CF2)1-10-, -CH(CH3)-, -CH(CCI3)-, -CH(CF3)-, -C(CH3)2-, -C(CF3)2-, -CC-, -CH=CH-, -CF=CH-, -CH=CF-, -CF=CF- and the formulae in (I), with the proviso that at least one bridging group is -CF20- or -OCF2-. The polycyclenes are terminated at both ends of the chain by various groups, selected from the formulae in (II).
