Methods and devices are provided in which a voice call is made during data transmission and reception to and from an external electronic device. It is determined whether a communication status is sufficient to perform the data transmission and reception while making the voice call. The data transmission and reception is stopped if it is determined that the communication status is not sufficient to perform the data transmission and reception while making the voice call.

A method and a supply modulator (SM) are provided for supplying power from a wireless transmitter to a radio frequency (RF) power amplifier. A power control signal input from a modem is received. A reference voltage is determined. An operating mode of the SM is changed by controlling a level of the reference voltage. A voltage is determined based on the level of a reference voltage. When the operating mode of the SM is an ET mode, a first output signal from a linear regulator and a second output signal from a switching regulator are combined to obtain a combined result, and the combined result is output. The first output signal is based on the voltage. When the operating mode of the SM is an APT mode, the voltage based on the reference voltage is output.

An electronic device for synthesizing a frequency is provided. The electronic device includes a bank changer configured to output a channel code corresponding to a reference frequency signal and a feedback frequency signal, a channel code mapper configured to generate a changed channel code by applying an offset to the channel code output from the bank changer, and a voltage controlled oscillator configured to control a total capacitance of a plurality of capacitors based on the changed channel code and to oscillate a frequency dependent on the total capacitance.

An apparatus that uses a method for processing handover by a terminal linked to a wireless network included in heterogeneous wireless networks and conducting a voice call service is provided. The method includes determining whether the terminal is required to perform handover of another wireless network included in the heterogeneous wireless networks, and upon determining that the handover is required, performing handover to the another wireless network, wherein the handover is determined by applying at least one handover condition to each of predetermined operation modes in the terminal conducting the voice call service.

Various examples of the present invention relate to an electronic device group paging method and an electronic device thereof, and an electronic device operating method can comprise the steps of: converting, in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode, the electronic device from an idle state into a wakeup state when it is time to check group paging; analyzing, in the wakeup state, the validity of a group paging message received through machine type communication (MTC); and performing a specific function according to the group paging message if the group paging message is valid. In addition, the various examples of the present invention also include the aforementioned example and other examples.

A parallel output linear amplifier is provided that includes a transconductance amplifier configured to receive an analog input signal from an input terminal and amplify the analog input signal. The parallel output linear amplifier also includes a first pre-amplifier connected to the transconductance amplifier and operated using a floating drive voltage, and a cascode class AB amplifier connected to the first pre-amplifier and configured to provide an amplified signal to an output terminal. The parallel output linear amplifier further includes a second pre-amplifier configured connected to the transconductance amplifier and operated using the floating drive voltage, and a cascade class AB amplifier connected to the second pre-amplifier and configured to provide an amplified signal to the output terminal.

The second circuit is configured to generate a signal for controlling the current supplied to the circuit based on a frequency of a pulse signal generated using a second component that is of a same kind as a first component of the first circuit.
