摘要: There is disclosed an apparatus for restoring an ink jet recording head which can securely recover the ink jet recording head from the ink non-ejection condition caused by foreign particles or bubbles adhering inside the ink passage of an ejecting nozzle and which can prevent unnecessary bubbles from generating in the ink jet recording head. In the restoring operation, in which foreign particles are discharged together with ink from the ejecting nozzle by pressurizing the ink in an ink tank, an inner pressure of an ink supply passage is adjusted to reach a set pressure value.

摘要: A mounting device for an image forming apparatus comprises a mounting rack for mounting an image forming apparatus for forming an image at a predetermined speed, a feeding section provided within the mounting rack for feeding a medium into the image forming apparatus, and a changing section for changing a medium feeding speed of the feeding section in accordance with an image forming speed of the image forming apparatus. The changing section comprises a movable gear having coaxially-arranged large and small gear portions different in the number of teeth and rotating upon receipt of driving force, and first and second power transmitting sections for transmitting power to the feeding section when the large and small gear portions are selectively connected by shifting the movable gear, to thereby drive the feeding means at a different speed.

摘要: The present invention has its object to achieve a reduction in the size and cost of a paper feeding cassette. A cassette body (2) which can contain a plurality of papers is provided with a pair of front-edge guide sections (3) and (3) for positioning the front-edges of the papers, a pair of traverse guide sections (4) and (4) for positioning the side-edges of the papers, a rear-edge guide section (5) for positioning the rear-edges of the papers, a pair of separating sections (6) and (6) for separating one at a time the papers contained in the cassette body (2), and a pair of push-up members (7) and (7) for pushing upward both side sections of the front-edges of the papers toward the lower surfaces of a pair of separating sections (6) and (6). Both side sections of the front-edges of the papers are pushed upward toward the lower surfaces of the separating sections (6) and (6) by the elasticity of the push-up members (7) and ( 7).

摘要: A drive control method for a thermal transfer printer adapted to carry out printing by melting a thermofusible ink of an ink ribbon and transferring the molten ink onto a printing paper. The ink ribbon is formed with a blank portion coated with no ink, which blank portion is formed between an ink layer and a mark for indicating the ink layer. Under the condition where the thermal head is spaced from the printing paper, the ink ribbon is moved to bring the blank portion into opposition to the thermal head. At this position, the thermal head is pressed through the blank portion against the printing paper. Then, the thermal head is moved relative to the printing paper and the ink layer, and simultaneously the thermal head is heated to transfer the ink of the ink layer onto the printing paper. According to this drive control method, no ink is transferred onto the printing paper upon pressing the thermal head through the ink ribbon against the printing paper, thereby preventing staining of the printing paper due to the ink.

摘要: A thermal transfer printer erases previously recorded characters by applying heating energy of higher surface density than that used to originally transfer thermally fusible material onto a recording sheet. A thermal transfer tape made of a polyester film and a layer of thermally fusible material is interposed between a thermal head of the printer and the recording sheet at the position to be erased. The thermally fusible material has a higher adhering affinity for the polyester film than for the recording sheet at the higher heating energy level and thus fusible material previously recorded on the recording sheet adheres to the tape at the higher energy level. When the tape is pulled away from the recording sheet, the previously recorded character adheres to the tape and is pulled away with it.

摘要: In order to detect setting defects of a self-piercing rivet in a self-piercing rivet setting machine, on a graph having X-Y coordinates representing a rivet driven stroke and a rivet driving load, a normal upper limit curve 37 defining the upper limit of a normal setting range and a normal lower limit curve 38 defining the lower limit of the normal setting range are plotted to detect a conventionally detectable setting defects. Further, a defect upper limit curve 39 and a defect lower limit curve 41 which are obtained from an additional setting defect different from the conventionally detectable setting defects are plotted between the normal upper limit curve and the normal lower limit curve, so that the additional setting defect is detected when a plotted curve 45 of actual-measurement data of a rivet under a rivet driving operation lies between the defect upper and lower limit curves.
