    摘要: A pressure welding apparatus includes a pressing die assembly 50 which has a plurality of stuffers 54 that pressure-weld electric wires 45 to the pressure-welding parts 34 of contacts 30, and a comb 70. The pressing die assembly 50 has a plurality of pins 60 which are located adjacent to the respective stuffers 54 and which are constantly driven downward by springs 62 so that the pins 60 protrude beyond the lower ends of the stuffers 54. The widths of the respective pins 60 are set so that these widths are substantially equal to the widths of the cavities 16 of the housing 10 in which the contacts 30 are accommodated. As a result, the pins 60 advance into the housing cavities 16 located adjacent to the contact 30 on which pressure-welding is to be performed, and support the housing partition walls 20 from the sides during the pressure welding process.

    摘要: A method for stripping an electrical comprises the steps of: positioning the seal on the electrical wire in a position removed a specified distance in an axial direction from a front-end surface of the electrical wire; cutting a cover of the electrical wire by pressing cutting blades against the cover of the electrical wire between the seal and the front-end surface of the electrical wire; removing a cut portion of the cover by moving the cutting blades toward the front-end surface; cutting a core wire of the electrical wire by pressing the cutting blades against the core wire of the electrical wire between the seal and the front-end surface of the electrical wire; and moving the seal in the axial direction toward the front-end surface of the electrical wire to position the seal in the vicinity of a front-end surface of a remainder of the cover.

An electrical wire insertion guide device is disposed between the sealing member transfer device and the electrical wire clamping device and is slidable along the electrical wire from a lead-out member to the covering end portion. The sealing member transfer device positions a central axis of the covering end portion substantially coaxially with a central axis of the sealing member.

    摘要: An observation plug 102 includes a spark plug body 50, an objective optical system 10, and a set of light conduction paths 16. The spark plug body 50 ignites gas in a combustion chamber by an electric discharge in a discharge gap 60, and has an observation hole 4 penetrating in an axial direction at a location dislocated from the discharge gap 60. The objective optical system 10, which is provided in the observation hole 4 to be exposed into the combustion chamber, bends a course of light received from an incident surface 10a facing toward the discharge gap included in an observation area, and forms an image of the observation area within the observation hole 4. The set of light conduction paths 16 is provided in the observation hole 4, and divides the image of the observation area into a plurality of portions to be transmitted therethrough.
