摘要: Universal endovascular grafts are provided for evaluation and repair of damaged or aneurismal blood vessels. More particularly, the present invention relates to universal fenestrated and universal branched endografts for repair of blood vessels with branches, methods for implanting the endografts in the vessel and for making connection with one or more branches. The universal fenestrated endografts have a body with a first end, a second end, a first wall, a second wall, and an interior passage or lumen. The body further includes openings in communication with the passage at the first and second ends and one or more lateral fenestrations in communication with the lumen. The body further has a necked portion between the ends and a cannulation member. The universal branched endografts have a tubular body with a main lumen and four branch lumens. A large branch extends from the body. The four lumens are positioned about a circumference of the tubular body.

摘要: A method and associated device for constricting fluid flow in vasculature comprising inserting a device into vasculature of a patient. The device comprising a frame defining an inflow portion, an outflow portion, and a center portion between the inflow portion and outflow portion and a fluid impermeable membrane lining at least the center portion, wherein a minimum diameter of the center portion is at least about 33% less than a diameter of the inflow portion, and the patient has deep vein reflux (DVR), chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), or excess shunting through a fistula. The method may further include placing the device within a vein proximally to a refluxing deep vein in a valve free zone.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve assembly includes a self-expandable stent having a flared upper portion, a lower portion, and an intermediate portion extending from the upper portion to the lower portion. The stent includes upwardly bent hooks extending from an outer surface of the stent, which are adapted to engage native leaflet tissue. The stent further includes an elongate anchoring member extending from the lower portion of the stent, which is adapted to be secured to a ventricle wall via a prong portion. When deployed within the native heart valve, the flared upper portion contacts a supra-annular surface of the native heart valve for preventing downward migration of the prosthetic heart valve assembly toward the ventricle and the upwardly bent hooks and the elongate anchoring member prevent upward migration of the prosthetic heart valve assembly toward an atrium.

摘要: An intraocular lens has a lens body. At least one side surface of the lens body is provided with a focus determination diffraction area and a focus offset diffraction area. The focus determination diffraction area comprises at least two focus determination diffraction structures of different heights. The focus determination diffraction structures of different heights are alternately arranged to provide the intraocular lens with focuses which respectively correspond to distant vision, intermediate vision and near vision. The focus offset diffraction area comprises focus offset diffraction structures which corresponds to the focus determination diffraction structures. The height ratio of the at least one focus offset diffraction structure to a corresponding focus determination diffraction structure is 1.1 to 1.3 or 0.8 to 0.95. The focus offset diffraction structures provide the intraocular lens with offset focuses.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame made of a plastically expandable material and including an inflow end, an outflow end, and a central portion between the inflow end and the outflow end. The frame is radially collapsible and expandable. The inflow end includes a plurality of circumferentially extending first strut members having a first strut width and forming a first angle between adjacent first strut members, and the central portion includes a plurality of circumferentially extending second strut members having a second strut width and forming a second angle between adjacent second strut members. A plurality of leaflets is positioned within the frame and configured to regulate blood flow through the prosthetic heart valve. The first strut width of the first strut members at the inflow end of the frame is greater than the second strut width of the second strut members in the central portion of the frame.

摘要: An intraluminal device including an elongated structure formed of a plurality of wires may be provided. The intraluminal device may include a plurality of sets of looped wires longitudinally located at an intermediate area of the elongated structure. The sets of looped wires may be spaced circumferentially about the elongated structure and may be configured to cooperate with each other to form a plurality of clot entry openings. The intraluminal device may also include at least one grouping of woven wires that may be longitudinally located adjacent to the intermediate area and may be configured such that when an opening force is exerted on the elongated structure, the at least one grouping of woven wires may provide structural support to hold open first interstices between the plurality of sets of looped wires.

摘要: Embodiments of a radially collapsible and expandable prosthetic heart valve and method for crimping the prosthetic heart valve are disclosed. A method of radially compressing a prosthetic valve can include partially inserting the valve while in a radially expanded configuration into a crimping device comprising crimper jaws, wherein a portion of the valve comprising an outer skirt extends outside of the crimper jaws. The method can further include crimping the valve to a first partially collapsed configuration, further inserting the valve into the crimping device, such that the outer skirt is between the crimper jaws, and crimping the valve to a second partially collapsed configuration, wherein a diameter of the valve is smaller in the second partially collapsed configuration than in the first partially collapsed configuration.

摘要: A prosthetic valve includes a tubular valve body, snares, and an upstream support. A native valve of a heart of a subject is disposed between an atrium and a ventricle of the heart, and has an annulus and leaflets. The prosthetic valve is advanced to the heart while in a compressed state. The prosthetic valve is positioned within the heart such that the snares are disposed upstream of the annulus and leaflets. The snares are expanded radially outwardly upstream of the leaflets. Subsequently, the prosthetic valve is moved in a downstream direction such that the snares become disposed downstream of the leaflets. While the snares remain downstream of the leaflets, the upstream support is expanded within the atrium, and the upstream support is placed against an upstream surface of the annulus. Other embodiments are also described.
