摘要: A method for producing a microbial oil includes genetically modifying a labyrinthulid which belongs to the genus Parietichytrium or the genus Schizochytrium by disrupting and/or silencing a Δ4 desaturase gene, a C20 elongase gene, and/or a C18 elongase gene, or by being transformed with an ω3 desaturase gene; culturing the labyrinthulid; and collecting the microbial oil from the labyrinthulid. The labyrinthulid has an activity of synthesizing DHA via a PUFA-PKS pathway in an amount of not more than 1/100 of a total amount of DHA synthesized in the labyrinthulid or no activity of producing PUFAs via the PUFA-PKS pathway, and the labyrinthulid has an activity of producing PUFAs via an endogenous elongase-desaturase pathway.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the production of polyunsaturated fatty acids in an organism by introducing, into the organism, nucleic acids which encode polypeptides with Δ5-elongase activity. Advantageously, these nucleic acids can be expressed in the organism together with further nucleic acids which encode polypeptides of the biosynthesis of the fatty acid or lipid metabolism. Especially advantageous are nucleic acids which encode Δ6-desaturases, Δ5-desaturases, Δ4-desaturases and/or Δ6-elongases. These desaturases and elongases are advantageously derived from Thalassiosira, Euglena or Ostreococcus. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the production of oils and/or triacylglycerides with an elevated content of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, and oils and/or triacylglycerides thus obtained. The invention also relates to the nucleic acids, and constructs, vectors and transgenic organisms comprising the same, as well as oils, lipids and/or fatty acids produced by the process according to the invention and to their use.

摘要: The present invention provides a decanedioic acid produced by microbial fermentation process, in which the content of C10 aliphatic acid and C10 hydroxy aliphatic acid is maintained at a very low level. The present invention also provides a preparation method of the decanedioic acid and a polymer prepared by using the decanedioic acid as monomer. The decanedioic acid provided by the present invention is prepared by microbial fermentation process. The decanedioic acid product which is produced through the processes of microbial fermentation and separation has a higher purity, a higher thermal stability, and a lower impurity content. The decanedioic acid provided by the present invention could satisfy the requirements of high grade product of polyamide or polyester to produce polymer with excellent qualities. The preparation method of the decanedioic acid provided by the present invention which has many advantages of mild reaction conditions, environmental friendliness, high yield, and good product quality, may replace the chemical method to be used in industrial scale production of the decanedioic acid.
