Abstract: A password less login using a smart device is caused to retrieve from a cloud-server a one-time use code. The smart device is associated with a virtual user account to control a plurality of controllable devices with a device app installed on a smart device. The one-time use code is provided to a controllable device and the controllable device is caused to provide the one-time use code back to the smart device. The app causes the one-time use code provided back to the smart device by the controllable device to be authenticated. In response to the one-time use code being authenticated, the controllable device is bound to the app whereupon the controllable device is controllable through use of the app.

Abstract: Disclosed is a portable electric nail file, and a system comprising an electric nail file handpiece having a motor and a power unit having a rechargeable battery for supplying power to said electric nail file. The power unit has manual digital control interface in the form of a click wheel to enable a user to control the direction and speed of the motor of the electric nail file. The interface communicates to a processor for controlling the operation of the electric nail file the processor executing stored software instructions. The device and system include a communication element for receiving signals from a foot pedal by low power radio signal control of the direction and speed of the electric nail file motor. A docking cradle engages the power unit and through metal contacts is operable to recharge the battery of the power unit. The cradle also incorporates display indicating speed and direction.

One embodiment includes a method for modifying a system that includes several devices. The method includes steps for measuring a first signal pattern for wireless signals between the several devices, measuring a second signal pattern for the wireless signals after measuring the first signal pattern between the several devices, determining an updated state of the system based on a difference between the second signal pattern and the first signal pattern, and modifying state variables of one or more devices of the playback system based on the determined updated state.

Abstract: An electronic circuit breaker provides waveform data wirelessly and alters a breaker code wirelessly. The breaker comprises a transceiver to wirelessly transmit information including waveform data, a microcontroller including a processor and a memory and computer-readable firmware code stored in the memory which, when executed by the processor, causes the microcontroller to: monitor in real-time breaker functional parameters to determine parametric modifications, wirelessly transmit the information that was saved previously in the electronic circuit breaker about the one or more breaker functional parameters to a remote device with a graphical user interface, alter a breaker algorithm after analyzing load data of problematic electrical loads in a mobile application (APP) of the remote device to treat the problematic electrical loads as normal and safe and test the computer-readable firmware code with a problematic electrical load to make sure the electronic circuit breaker doesn't still trip on the problematic electrical load.

Abstract: A remote control device having capacitive touch controls may be configured to enter a sleep state (or mode). For example, the remote control device may be configured to enter the sleep state upon expiration of an interval of time since a most recent button press. The remote control may be configured to awaken from the sleep state when one or more portions of a housing of the remote control are deflected, for example, when a user grasps the remote control to actuate one or more of the capacitive touch controls. For example, the remote control device may include a switch. The switch may include a carbon structure that may be configured to contact an open circuit pad on a circuit board to close the corresponding circuit when the housing is deflected and awaken the remote control device from the sleep state.

Abstract: A big data artificial intelligence computer system is used for medical care connecting to sensor-equipped smartphones of users of footwear. The footwear has smartphone-connected soles with sensors and configurable structures. The smartphone is also connected to sensors located on the users' body, including proximate to its center of gravity and/or on the head. The web and/or cloud-based computer system is configured to use the big data techniques of machine learning in a database compiled from millions of smartphones to perform operations on billions of data sets from the smartphones of the footwear users. The correlations found from the big data operations provide solutions to medical problems of the footwear users involving their body structure and/or function. The solutions are implemented by configuring the users' footwear soles, including active configuration, including during running and/or walking to optimize corrections to the structure and/or function of their bodies.
