Abstract: A physiological information measurement system capable of achieving decrease in time for attachment of a plurality of sensors to a subject and preparation for measurement is provided. A head-mounted measurement system includes a housing attachable to and removable from a head of a subject, a plurality of sensors held by the housing, and a control unit (signal processing unit) that synchronizes signals outputted from the plurality of sensors with each other. The plurality of sensors include an NIRS probe (a first sensor) that measures brain activities and an ultra-wide-angle camera (a second sensor) that obtains an image of a face of the subject.

Abstract: A known signal is sent to a resistor of a mobile computing device, wherein the resistor directly contacts a surface. A signal is from the resistor, wherein the signal comprises the known signal and a degree of thermal noise from the resistor, and wherein the degree of thermal noise is associated with a temperature of the surface. The thermal noise is extracted from the signal from the resistor. The temperature of the surface is determined based on the thermal noise extracted from the signal from the resistor.

A method configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, receiving a three-dimensional data set representative of the patient's skin surface and determining a boundary of a feature of the patient's skin in the three-dimensional data set. The method can further include determining, with a processor, a three-dimensional surface area of the feature within the boundary. In some embodiments, the method can also include identifying a plurality of sub-regions within the boundary and identifying one or more tissue types in each sub-region.

Abstract: A textile-based electrode system includes a first fabric layer having an inner and an outer surface. The inner surface includes a knitted electrode configured to be placed in contact with the skin of a user. A second fabric layer is disposed and configured to contact the outer surface of the first fabric layer. The second fabric layer includes a knitted conductive pathway configured to be electrically coupled to the knitted electrode. Furthermore, a third fabric layer is configured and disposed to contact the second fabric layer. A connector is disposed on the third fabric layer and is configured to be electrically coupled to the knitted conductive pathway. The second fabric layer can be folded about a first fold axis and the third fabric layer can be folded about a second fold axis to place the second fabric layer in contact with the first fabric layer and the third fabric layer.

Abstract: A wearable device and method for operating the wearable device in a wearable device communication system in a controlled environment is disclosed. The wearable device includes at least one module configured to customize an inmate interface on the wearable device based at least in part of an inmate profile and an administrative rule. In some embodiments, the inmate interface is a keyboard. The wearable device also includes additional modules that enable the wearable device to monitor information regarding at least one of the inmate of the wearable device and the physical environment in which the wearable device is located.
